You have to love Oreo cookies. High fructose corn syrup, soy, and everyone's favorite GMO "plastic", high oleic canola oil. They pulled out the transfat, and replaced it with another frankinfood. Yum, yum. But then again, everyone could use a little more fatty tissue surrounding their vital organs.

Oreo's for the win! And not the double stuff or any of the other varieties, the original. And milk is needed, it's a match made in heaven.
But I do like a good oatmeal raisin cookie too. Nice and soft, with a cold glass of milk too, oh yeah.

#7 My oatmeal cookies are made from non GMO sorghum/brown rice and flax seed flour, coconut palm sugar, non-sorbate chopped prunes, non GMO, certified gluten free oats, real Madagascar vanilla, brown rice protein, and a "butter" blend made from sunflower, flax and olive oils.

But that's OK, you folks keep eating those fake, lab produced "foods".

wheel,

Taste is relative, dude. Ever since I've cut the crap out of my diet, Oreos taste like sickly sweet plastic. But then again, that's pretty much what they are.

The proper answer to this question is:

Ummm, what cookies are you talking about? I see no cookies, oreo or otherwise.

I hate the "stuff" in the middle of Oreos. Anyway, Oreos are store-bought and oatmeal are soft & warm from the oven with pecans and cranberries in them...mmmmmmmmmmmm!! Plus they come with a bowl of cookie dough. Drool

What if they're home-made oreos?

Why are we assuming these aren't those cheap @ss oatmeal cookies you get in vending machines? (also tasty, for the record)....

Maybe Wheel could instagram us a photo of his oreos and milk mustache. Naw, that would just be gross.

If they're homemade then they'd be "chocolate sandwich cookies," not Oreos. Oreos come in a crinkly plastic package in the Wal-mart cookie aisle. I suppose the oatmeal *could* be store-bought as well... but I still want the kind that comes with cookie dough.

Not until his pus-bubble heals, thank you.

ALTHOUGH... the infection reaching his brain WOULD explain an Oreo preference. Hmmmm...Think

And, for the record, molasses crinkles and sour cream snickerdoodles are the pinnacle of all cookiedom.

Both have their time and place but if I had to pick one, this pretty much sums it up

Not sure about the cranberries only because I haven't tried it yet. That is probably a key... homemade allows you to experiment while Oreos will always be Oreos

I jike the flavor of cranberries/craisins better than raisins, but raisins are good, too.

I love oreo's but I know I shouldn't...

Oatmeal Raisin has always been my least favorite cookie... and after I did a brief stint in the raisin industry last year, raisins are among my least favorite foods in the world...

You want to talk about a food that is completely microbiologically safe while still being among the most chemically dangerous foods available, raisins are it... they stack bins of raisins on top of each other, put them in a tent (not unlike tenting a house for termites) and then pump in the chemicals... for every three months that the raisins stay at the plant, another round of chemical fumigation takes place...

DP - I feel for ya... I would challenge anyone to go on a diet like yours for 30 days and then try to return to eating all the processed, packed-with-sugar foods we are used to in today's society... nothing will taste right... I went sugar-free (everything but fruit sugar) when I first dated my now-wife... when I quit that diet, everything with even a tiny amount of sugar tasted disgustingly sweet to me...

Sound good DP. What are they, about $200 a dozen to make? Think It sounds like you're hitting every row at Ho Foods.
I'm going back over to the medical marijuana thread to talk about Twinkies. Frying pan

If we are talking about the pinnacle of cookie-dom. It's the tollhouse choc chip. Nothing else even comes close. If you think otherwise, you are wrong and probably retarded. Not saying other cookies are bad....but this is the BEST.

Online, Trader Joe's, Costco, Sams and Walmart. Whole Paycheck is way too expensive for a poor sap like me. Probably closer to a buck a dozen, which makes them about the same price (if not cheaper) then the store bought frankinfoods. Just like with cigars, you have to know when and where the deals are.

Slap a slab of good vanilla ice cream between two oversized oatmeal cookies, wrap in cling warp and freeze for a few hours. Awesome ice cream sandwich.

Oreos are Ok. They are what they are.

Oatmeal cookies are complex, meaning they can be great, or taste terrible. A good Oatmeal Cookie will beat the crap out of an Oreo any day of the week.

Unfortunately, there are so very few good Oatmeal cookies out there...

Nabisco is supplied by Monsanto.

The Oreo filling doesn't add up:
http://www.cnn.com/2013/08/21/us/oreo-high-school-experiment/index.html?hpt=us_c2

I'll take a fresh made oatmeal cookie any day instead of an over-processed thing called an Oreo.
