It's an allocated bourbon so it's very difficult to find....or it is here. I think the Sip got around 50 bottles last year.

I know it won't be released again until late this year.

And when I pass on the price that I paid, you won't confuse me for being nice. $89.00

Wowza! VABC did a lottery recently. I think I forgot to enter (my coworkers that live in Virginia's names with my phone numbers ;D)

I saw a bottle at a shop in Indy on the way back from the airport recently. The gal wouldn't sell it to me because the UPC didn't scan and no price tag. I tried to give her 50 dollars and let her figure it out later but she wouldn't do it.

Bummers =(

I think I like the 1792 Full Proof best though and some store picks of it have been really good.

Did a blind side by side of SAOS 10yr SiB (around 100 pf from 2016, not a store pick) and Eagle Rare 10yr SiB (from 2014). Unfortunately my tastes went with the price tag even blind. I found the ER to be bland compared to the SAOS. Both still great whiskeys.

Currently on a train, blasting across the desert, and they have this whole "you can only drink the $6 beers we sell" rule, so I've got Gentleman Jack poured into an aluminum water bottle keeping me company... When I reach my destination, I have a bottle of Aberlour 16 I'm going to split with Family, and I'm debating what to put in my water bottle for the return trip... Maybe some GlenMorangie Lashanta... Although, for practical purposes of Drunk training, I should probably just fill it with Everclear and chop it with literally everything else I drink... The soda, the juice, the bottled water, the pisswater diet Budweiser (which is the only beer left on the train) all of it.

I don't always want to drink a liquid camp fire, but when I do, Laphroaig 18 doesn't disappoint.

I haven't had the 14 in a long while. It just didn't stick out enough in my crowded scotch cabinet, and I just haven't revisited it in a few years... Might have to when I get home.

I've always wanted to try that, but I've paid less for working/driving cars....

Not a big fan of the 14. Do like the 15 considerably more.

Tonight, Weller 12.

Don't I feel foolish... Confused the name with Rosebank, a generally $200-$300 dollar a bottle scotch.

Also, I've paid $25 for a car before, Sooooo...... it wasn't pretty, and I ran it in a demo derby, but what kind of destructive entertainment (that's legal) can you have with an internal combustion engine for 25 bux?

Lately I alternate between bathing exclusively in 38 yo Brora, 37 yo Port Ellen, and a really nice Rosebank 20yo, Why drink whisky from dead distilleries when you can piss in it instead?

so true, so true. Yes, I am drinking a nice pour of 90 proof Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
