The Maduros are much better in both to me. I love the WOAM in the morning with some coffee.

The short story is good when you don't have much time but like Wheel says, the WOAM is much better.

Thanks

I am trying to figure out which one I really had the other day. I had 1 of each and the one I just smoked was no where near how good the other one was.

I just remember them being very similar in size.

The WOAM is about 1/3 bigger in length and 1/4 bigger in ring size I think. Exact sizes are listed there.

My wife who never smoked, smoked it for a little bit. She swore it tasted like chocolate and caramel and loved it. This one I had was totally different.

To me the WOAM pairs perfectly with some Ice coffee or slightly sweetened regular coffee in the morning. I make this my commute smoke a lot of mornings.

My noob Jongk47 sent me a bunch of them.

Taps, if I'm not mistaken, Hemmingway Maddies come in three sizes.

Short Story - 4" x 49
Best Seller - 4-1/2" x 52
WOA - 4-7/8" x 60

Since you said the two you had where very similar in size, I'm wondering if you smoked a SS and BS, not the WOA. I think you would have noticed a big difference is size between a SS and WOA.

The Masterpiece (9x52) is awesome as well when you have time for a 1.5 hour or so smoke. I just bought another box at a good price on OLH.

I don't like most Nats but Most Fuentes and Padrons are the exception. I still like the Maduros a little better though.

Taps-I'll make sure I include a WOAM and a Masterpiece in your package. I don't think I have any more SS's. I may still have some Best Sellers though as well.

Fu.k it! I'm going to get 5 WOAM for 40 and 10 Short stories for 50 from OLH. If y'all come across a best seller let me know.

Edit:
I just looked and the best sellers are coming back as 5". That couldn't have been it.

WAY to much. Usually between $165-185/box. Last box of WOAM's was $165 + shipping.

Like dpnewell said, I think maybe you had a SSM and a Best Seller Maddie, they do really look alike. However, an easy way to tell the difference between either of those two and a WOAM is that the WOAM has a pointed cap. It is unique and unlike any of the other vitolas in the Hemingway line in that respect. So if you prefer a V-cut or a punch, you better have your guillotine cutter or scissors handy.

Other than that, I love all 3 of them for different reasons and until my tastes change, plan on having all in my cooler all the time.

I'm from the same tribe apparently. Most, but not all, maduro's don't have a lot of depth or complexity to them for my taste buds and nose. If it's a short smoke, Baitfishish or Chisellito-ish, that's cool, but more and more if I'm settling down to a beverage and stogie and devoting a bit of time I want a little more, and I've always preferred the profiles of good natties. You're people aren't from south Georgia are they?fog Herfing

River,

Ancestry dot com sez I got folks from all over, most likely plenty from South GA, as many originated in the Carolina's prior to pioneering here to West Tn. Most of 'em anyhow.

being as I don't smoke often, I, like yourself, prefer to spend all that time enjoying the cigar, that's the only reason I'm smoking tobacco, hehe.
