Dont remember asking for you to send money.

Silly noobs.

Just remember to purge the lighter everytime you go to fill it.
Some of the new ones need to be reset on the flame adjustment.
you got my e mail if you need the help. Thats all I do now is repair lighters from 2:00 am to 6:00 am

Really did not want to put you to the trouble over a $3 dollar lighter, but I do appreciate the generosity.

Also I must have missed the part about the Opus X in the your first response. Noob mistake.lol

So far so good with the Jetlite's. Seems to be a steal at $3.00 ea.

FWIW, I don't advocate purging everytime you fill a lighter, you waste a lot of gas that way if you want to top off before you head out. I would only purge if the lighter appears to have gas and won't produce a flame.

+1

the only jetlites I have had problems with are the ones I have tried to purge. could just be operator error, but purging has not worked well for me. LOL

have to purge to get the air our otherwise you will get less and less of lights per filling

once you own a lighter that has a window in it you will see what happens

Dont have to take my word on it. anyone that can get more than a couple of cigars lite wih there lighters, please snd them to me

I'll endorse the Ronson as well. Can't beat them for the money. BUT, a friend, honest, gave me a NuLite he picked up at a headshop that I've been using for over a year without a misfire. Looks like an absolute piece of crap, plastic, Ed Hardy tat/cartoon emblems on it, disperser torch flame, refillable...... and it just keeps going and going and going. Might have to modifiy my theory of flashlights to accomodate lighters as well. "The dependability of a lighter is inversely proportional to it's cost."

Bic or matches. EVERY lighter I've owned quit working after a few short weeks.

Just not true in my experience. I have a few lighters with windows on them which I use regularly. I have no trouble getting each of them full enough for several toastings and lightings. Are you sure that you're getting a good purge, and then filling the lighter held upside down?

If the seals in your lighter are holding, after the initial purge you should be able to go a long time before purging again as long as you don't run your lighter dry. If the seals aren't holding, what can you expect?

I have had great use from the xicar ultra lighter/cutter combo. The cutter magnetizes to the side of the lighter. Have not had to adjust the flame at all. Just remember to let it sit for about 1 minute after refilling. Got for around 30 bucks on cbid. Handy having both tools together

Great Advice! I like matches and/or cedar strips, but my smoking porch can get windy in the evenings and a torch is needed. I do have my moments with my lighters, Bics can work if not too windy. I had not heard of the Ronson, but it works GREAT! With a nice price. Thanks. mike

That is what I have, easily adjustable flame and more powerful than my triple flame colibris. Best tabletop/patio lighter by far.

+1 on the ronson's, but this one looks similar to one CB sent me, except it has a curved top (think someone called it a bong lighter from the pic post, LOL) he might give up the place, says he gets 'em cheap. I use it or the ronson mostly.

Picked up a trezo in-line triple from here, CHEAP, but haven't tried it yet, no more than I smoke, my lighters will prolly "gum up" more thna most, time will tell. My ronson only has about 6 months use so far, and like others have said you can wear the finish off I think before it will give up and for under $4!

Ronson JetLite in the pocket/car.

I've had it with expensive lighters. They all seem fragile!

If the lighter cost more than a nice cigar, you wasted your money!

LMAO...............the pic I got in my head is seeing you with a big blue bottle torch toasting a cigar, hehe.

Shoulda went for MAPP Gas

this place has all KINDS of cool little gadgets real cheap. I think it all comes straight from China cause shipping always seems to take 2 weeks. I ordered maybe 15 lighters... most are made pretty cheaply and I bought them more for the cool little things like led blinking lights or flashlights built into them one has a blacklight built into it. Some are just really cool shapes. I wouldn't be looking here for a lighter that's going to last you years. It's luck of the draw on which ones are built decent and which one's worked maybe 3 times and then broke and I tossed them. But when most of them are under $3 - $4 I didn't care that much. I sent them mainly as toys that will sit on your desk and you occasionally play with them.
