Here is the box that the usps delivered to me today.... just because it says flat rate does not mean you need to run over it with a truck.....
This is the OPFTH Flag flown on the 4th of July.. Thank GOD everything in the box is OK.

Typical USPS care. Be glad they didn't tear it open and toss it in a mud puddle.

This was delivered to where I work. The Mail lady comes in the front door. Tosses it on the loor and RUNS out to her truck... Really??? I am going to pay them a visit tomorrow because that was totally uncalled for.

If the pic didn't show "Box" on the package I would have thought it was an envelope someone tried to blow-up. At least the contents where OK.

So I paid the post office a visit today and asked for the complaint department. The lady behind the counter escorted me to some back office. One of the managers comes out and asks what the problem is. I show her the box and she says well sometimes that happens when you ship stuff... I said I can believe that since it did come half way around the world BUT... I said do postal carriers typically walk into a business throw the box on the ground and run back out to their truck when there is a person at the desk 10 feet away? She says no that is not how they are supposed to handle things... I said any other time I probably would have just chalked this up to the wrong time of the month for the postal carrier but this package is special. The lady asked what is in it. So I proceeded to take the certificate and the patches out of the box and showed them to her. She about passed out when I pulled the flag out of the box. I said you might want to have a little talk with your carriers as you never know what might be inside the package...
She said I should be expecting a phone call from her boss.....
This is going to get interesting I am thinking.

Rich I was so pissed at work yesterday the girls in the office didn't even want to speak to me.

Chazz, Wow that's unreal!! And I'm frankly surprised that the initial contact @ the PO wrote it off to "Ya sometimes that happens......." Everyone knows that if someone writes "fragile" on the box that simply gives the bastids a green light to automatically treat it with total disregard. Glad the contents was OK. See ya in a couple of weeks in Marion BigGrin
