These made it from the East Coast to the West Coast in less than 48 hours - the aroma is making me salivate. Gonna be a busy weekend for me, boy!

Looks like some good smoking indeed. Reminds me, I need to source some more Black Pearl.

93-rated or not, La Perla Habana Morado is the only one I've tried so far. To be honest I wasn't impressed. If that's a 93, a CI Legends Blue Label is a 95 (and we know it ain't). For some reason this stick seemed light, and almost stiff. The smoke was dry and lacking in any intense flavors. I'll let the other sit for a month, and in the meantime I will enjoy the tempus's (tempi?)...

I always have that compulsion to smoke one ROTT but i've found that putting them to rest for a couple weeks and getting them to the humidity that i prefer seems to make it easier to get an opinion about it. Takes a bit of will power
after you open the box and see the goods. I know they come out of a humidor from the store but still do it anyway.

I usually do let them rest at least a week, sometimes two or more. But these were in transit for such a short time, shipped with a humi-care packet, and well.... I just didn't care if the La Perla was not up to it. Was hoping it would be an impressive smoke, though.

Would not do the same with the Decades, nor with the V's. Those are worth waiting for.

So I wait, with that well-earned air of superiority, as I repeatedly and successfully quash the undeniable urge to spark one NOW.
