So wait...

You're in Mexico.....smoking a cigar, and you're drinking Coke?

Cigar = +1
Mexico = +1

No Booze to pair that fine PSP2 with = -5

Even with a -3, you're still doin' a helluva lot better than I am right now....so cheers to that! Now go get a Cerveza POR FAY VOR!!!

So be honest. What have I been missing never having had the pleasure of smoking a cuban cigar?

Cubans have alot of depth in flavor as well as a wrapper that is silky with tiny skinny viens. The flavor profile usually is an earthy one with your leathery/barnyard aroma. Flavors can include pepper, cocoa, nutmeg, woodsy, grassy, honey.....ect...ect......

Problem with cubans as I see it is cost and inconsistency.

Because they are so popular the manufacturing standards have lowered to increase production. Perfect example is the Monty 4.....Used to be dynamite and now its OK, with an occasional construction issue.

Still sittin' on over a half bottle of the barrel-proof I got a good while back. It's good....but it's not all that much better than say Zacapa 23, or XO.....just has a little more ooomph, and slightly less sweetness. Depends on the my mood, but all of them would pair well w/ a PSP2.....

way better than say.....oh......

a Mexican Coke!!...LOL!

Thought you had a deal working?? I'm still sitting on 3/4 of my 2nd bottle of XO, otherwise I'd order more and hook you up.

Why don't you PM the fella who offered to help you initially, instead of trying to coordinate a group buy...which he didn't ever volunteer for. That'd be a better idea.

Thats a very nice resort...Playa is nice, its just not what were looking for in a Mexico vacation...It is very touristy, prices are high for Mexico, food is touristy as well, big nightlife scene as well. All those things could be good things, if thats what your looking for.

We prefer Cozumel. Cozumel is still touristy enough to be safe and have modern amenities, but it also has alot of authentic culture and the tourist area is contained to a small area on the island. Once you get away from it you find a large area of local business's with good prices, authentic food, and few tourists. Were not trying to rub shoulders with every European, Canadian, and American while waiting in line to pay $10 dollars for the same margarita you can buy in the U.S. And were not trying to eat fajita's for 7 straight days. Wer like to go off the beaten path to were locals eat and shop, have a good time, and still be safe, Cozumel is good for that. And we don't like staying on the resort.....

If you want to stay at the resort or in the tourist area Playa would be good for that...Otherwise I would worry with being on the mainland that if you get too far "off-the-beaten-path" security could be an issue. Peticularly with all the drugs we were offered in Playa....

Considering flying into St Maartens next vacation and hanging out for a week..... really liked it there.. prices were better than most of the other islands we've been to and I liked the locals.. (except for the guy who tried to sell me a time share thing).. I liked Cozumel but with everything going on down there I'd prolly avoid public areas....

LOL @ Tulum herf!!!!

Wheel I was checking out the website....i'm intrigued....might be a good spot for a day visit.

What I really didn't like about the mainland is the beach's. There is often a large surf and snorkeling isn't very good.

I think you are mistaken...
The snorleling is fantastic.The reef is 50 yds off the beach,less in some places.We've been down there several times and have never had surf issues.

I found Cozumel a bit run down,that's just me...
