I've only dipped my toes into latelier, been happy with everything up until this one, which wasn't bad but not my thing. Have not tried that one.

80,522 Charter Oak CT shade part 2. Definitely a dud yesterday. This one burned flawlessly with a progressive increase in strength and flavor. I haven't had much exposure to the lighter side of things, so I don't have a reference for how they should be, but this one is pretty much exactly what I expected it would be.

Started off like plain toast, then added in some sweetness, then some creamy savory notes, and halfway through picked up in intensity far greater than I expected after the very mild start. Maybe I'm tired maybe I'm hungry but I got a decent nic hit on the back half. Overall I enjoyed this one a lot more than I anticipated, especially after the dismal performance of the first one yesterday. Smoked this till my fingers were too hot to hold it.

80495 -- Espinosa Especial...7-8 years old, still good, but last one...should I get some more?

the first release of the Espinosa Laranja Reserva back in 2014/2015 were absolutely great, with a citrusy undertone behind the main flavors, making the Laranja (Spanish for orange) name an accurate descriptor...bought a second fiver and they were still good with an orange peel background note...couple years after the first one, I went for a box and was disappointed because the citrus flavor that made this cigar unique was gone...

are the current editions of the Espinosa Especial and Laranja similar to the OR's? I guess after the IR, I could try a fiver of each...the list of post IR acquisitions is getting long...

I picked up a Espi Laranja single. I have some 5 packs of other brands coming in the mail next shipment so a single doesn’t worry me about shipping costs. I’ve never tried one, I’m looking forward to it.

This particular stick and the last one had a very tight draw but burned evenly. A lot of smoke rolling off the foot end between puffs. The flavor was still very good but the draw was disappointing. I’ve smoked about 15 of these previously with no complaints.

^^^hey MadGeorge...#63772

can you help some brothers out, please? We're tryna keep a count of the number of cigars smoked. Notice the posts above yours and you'll see that most guys put a number in front of the cigar they are naming. Look closer and you'll see the numbers are in sequence (most of the time), with the next number one greater than its predecessor (usually).

So your AJ New World would be: 80532.

The next cigar listed will be 80533

Some of the more helpful and detailed oriented guys actually notice tears in the fabric, and post "number corrections" to keep the count as accurate as possible (allegedly).

Amazing stuff! My Serbian friend brings it when he goes home.
home made by his uncle. The apple one is my favorite.
My son brought me some small batch local distilled Scotch from Scotland
it was very nice, but this Serbian "Holy Water" I call it, beats it all to Hell

I’m not crazy about Connie broadleaf maduro generally but this particular blend is one of my favorite cigars. Smoked this one for 30 minutes, excellent short time smoke.

^^ George, when I visited Romania we did a bus tour of a few monasteries in the Moldavian mountains and the nuns sold different kinds of brandy outside the monastery. Absolutely wonderful and I’d love to lay hands on a bottle now.

80537 - EP Carrillo Short Run 2023 version

The edition inaugural release back in 2009-10(?) is on my short list of best N/C ever. Went through many boxes. There has been many releases since but this is the first one I have enjoyed enough to consider box purchases. Much fuller, darker wrapper version of the original but with very nice flavor profile. Need to try a few more before deciding these are for real.

I like them, usually keep them around when I can get them for the right price. Tenski is probably the best prices at this point.

80541 Cigars of Habanos Custom Rolled lonsdale-ish. This was from the spring box pass, and it looks like Delta put this in? Thanks so much! I really enjoyed it, didn't taste like the same ol' ame ol'. I would smoke more of these.

80542 - RomCraft Baka toro from Marcus. Thank you, Marcus!
80543 - EZ Blending Sessions toro from Stogie. This was the 4th of those I've smoked. It was the mildest but still good. When I get room, I'm ordering some. I can't tell much difference between these and other EZs, and at half the price, I'm sold.

I’m not crazy about this one. I give credit to the easily identified notes of cocoa but it is a bit ashy. It doesn’t help that the Maduro is not my favorite.

^^JGRAZ thanks!

80548 -- La Palina Maduro, gordo...usually don't smoke cigars with ring gauge larger than 50-52, so this felt like sucking on a mango seed...a decent maduro with a few years on it...lasted all the way through the UCLA basketball game

80549 -- Illusione Singulare
