Yup. One of the first dozen to vote in little Milford, Ohio. My wife is rabid re this election and she dragged me to the polls before they opened at 0630 EST. I now have bitching rights in case I need them.

BTW, if there was a challenger present, it wasn't obvious.

Polls don't open here for one hour. The wife did the absentee ballot thing, but I like going to the polls. As soon as they open I am there!

Not yet. Line is to long. I'll run downstairs (I work at the courthouse) on my lunch and do it.

Voting at 11:00am unless what I heard is true. I heard a rumor that kerry gave his consession speech at 10:00am, anyone know if that's true.

Not yet. I drove by at 7:10 am and saw about 15 people in a line out the garage (suburban garage poll). NEVER SEEN A LINE IN 11 YEARS at this address! Will try again at noon.

Yep. I was right there when the polls opened this morning. The line was long, about 30 people or so, before the doors opened, and it just makes me realize the more people vote the more vital we are as a democracy. I was the first from my precint to vote and I have to say that I haven't been this excited to vote since the first time I voted.

My polls are at the local elementary school. Gotta wait until school lets out first.

But I will vote and it'll be for GW! The lesser of two idiots.

Thom: I live in Oceanside, the second largest city in San Diego County. The 'burbs. Polling places around here are usually in elementary schools or in people's garages. The polls are always staffed by geriatrics.

My polling place is in a garage. The owner somehow keeps it empty, and they set up cardboard voting stations. In all elections so far, they have tables set up in the garage where you sign the sheet and the give you the punch tablets. This year I guess they're going to touch screens, but I haven't seen how they will set that up.

I voted this morning. We arrived at 7 am and had to park in a grass field behind the actual parking lot. There were over 100 people in line.

My 8 yr old son marked my ballot (straight Republican), marked his mom's ballot (straight Republican), then fed mine into the machine. I got him to scool on time, proudly wearing his Bush/Cheney lapel pin and "I Voted" sticker.

My county usually votes 2:1 Republican.

God bless America. God bless George W. Bush.

About a 40 min. line this morning here in rural Pa. Could have been just when I was there but it seems to be a very strong turnout. Nice to see.

Voted at 11:30, no lines but they said they had a big turn out early in the morning. The channel 6 news said if things keep going like they did this morning it will be a record turn out for Pennsylvania. I think Middle Class America finally got off their collective asses and voted.

My family & I (except for my brother) voted Democrat for the FIRST time! Thanks to the duplicitous dubya.

Also, officially became an Maryland Independent--after 30+ years of supporting the Republican party in one capacity or another.

The Bush clan is driving us paleoconservatives away.
May they enjoy oblivion.

I'm gonna have to get back to you.

Oh, and don't worry about the Cardinals.
I've heard that Musial, Gibson, Brock, and Ozzie are thinking about making comebacks. LOL

Yep... voted for GWB. I really struggled with this one. GWB is the better of the 2 candidates IMO.

The best news was that I smoked a Punch RS 12 from 1998 to celebrate. That was an awesome smoke! (c:

Snif, snif, too bad you two lil' fellers are "celebrating" the loss of your fearless/clueless leader already.

I'll be smoking a Big Butt myself to celebrate my scumbags' victory--inspired by Edward's wife's caboose.

Blood, I think most of us feel towards Bush as you do towards Kerry. Economics and other items drive you while the disdain for the military and poor Senate record drives me.

YES!! I voted... but they moved my polling place. Our community center took over for the elementary school... so I went there.... nope! Name not there... crap!! But they told me to go across the freeway to the fire station and yessir!! They had my name. Took my card and voted electronically.

What a great feeling. Now I gotta take momma over there when she gets home from work.

If Kerry Wins,
I'll smoke a Cuaba Salamone.
If Bush Wins,
I'll smoke a PAM64, since he seems least likely to loosen the embargo.

Chip, you know me so well but I meant to tell you--had to trade a couple of the Cubans for Kerry bumperstickers. I feel so dirty.LOL

As usual, Bass, you encapsulate it perfectly.
Frankly, I'm getting tired of you and your culo retentive ways.

Shawn (MCSD whatever), don't mean to burst your bubble but it sure sounds like you you stuck your card into the firehouse's prophylactic dispenser.

I am still at work, but will be leaving soon to go home, pick up MrsS and go to vote, even though I know our doing so will not prevent the California electoral votes from going to the most unworthy candidate for the office in the history of the US ...

I voted before work as well at 9:00 AM over at the
High School and there were about 12 or so people in line,it took about twenty minutes tops.Drove by at 7:30 PM tonight and there were about 50 or 60 people waiting in line.

While I was waiting the kids got out for morning break and about a dozen or so came by and chanted Go Bush!Go Bush!Go bush!

I love living in Orange County Ca,the last conservative stronghold in the State of Kalifornia. :0)
