As you all know, we just finished the Chicago Herf-N-Turf last night and it was a complete success! We recieved some very generous contributions the the Troop Box that I am putting together and thought other people might want to add to it. If you have any extra cigars or items you might think our troops need, please drop me an email and I'l give you my addy. I'll include them in the box with everyones name and address that contributed. Thanks again everyone and keep smokin' the good stuff :)

This Is NOT a JOKE ---

I will send a Habana and a Premium Domestic stick to each of the first TEN people who send their contribution to The Penguin's Holiday Troop Drive.

Bro. Kevin -- just forward me the list of names and addys for these individuals - I will send out their prize sticks --- actions such as these need to be rewarded !!!

God Bless All Our Servicemen and Women !
Bring them all Home Safely and Soon.

Seriously, let me know how your shipping goes.. the advice I have is to throw in a little bag of chips and mark the contents as snack food.
From what I have heard from overseas, the service mail pukes are stealing half the tobacco..

Anywho, I am planning a major operation for my buddies unit for Christmas (11 months on the ground), they had their first KIA last week, they can use it.

Interested to see how yours fairs so I can learn from it.

mrtelcom, you may already know this but the postal lady said to get stuff there by Christmas, it should be sent before Dec. 11. Good luck to you bro and to your friends making the ultimate sacrifice!

Plus, in my box I'm actually going to have snack food, books, razors, toothbrushes, shampoo, batteries, etc... Hopefully it will make it to them. I plan on putting the smokes on the bottom :)

You Sir - Have impressed me 'Again' with your gratitude.

I am thinking that your offer should draw a lot of good B&SOTL out to participate.

I usually send a small token of appreciation to our Troops on a regular basis, but I have been negligent as of late. Take you for this Thread for helping me get re-focused on a very important matter...Our Troops!

OK here is a nice contribution, but with a twist. I think several of us can easily persuade this BOTL:

So far I have had a wonderful turnout on this :) This started as just sending a couple smokes left over from the herf to an all out "bombing" of our fine troops! People are sending some wonderful things. I've gotten donations from 10 smokes all the way to 130!!! Some people are just sending toiletries, music, books, and leaving the cigar part out. THATS GREAT :) If there is anyone still out there that has anything to donate, drop me a line. The box is going start it's journy on Saturday the 29th. Thanks again everyone for helping me out with this :)

LOL - I was thinking the same thing. Last night I bought three more Sterilite(sp) 54qt bins. Got some weather stripping, some floral foam and Glad-ware containers...BAM instant humidor :) I've allready taken over the dining room with cigars and other Misc itemas that are going out. The best part is that my wife doesn't mind at all because it's going to a good cause. Now if I could just keep her in that frame of mind about the rest of my cigar humi's :)

KC
BTW - I WILL take a picture :) I live on the thrid floor so If I put them in the driveway, I should be able to get everything in the picture!
