trade board suggestion

A lot of the threads on the trade board are thanks, bomb announcements, so and so is a great person because type threads. Which is great. But it makes it hard to find the actual trade offers.

My suggestion is that the trades always start with the same something. Like the word Trade, or a symbol like * or # or something like that so it is very easy to see which posts are actual trades.

Just my .02 worth.

I agree. It's great that people are always saying thanks...but we need to have some kind of special identifying mark right off in the title that catches your eye so you don't have to wade through a bunch of other people's thank-you posts.

The trades were here first and the thank you's came afterwards. How about the non-trade posts, i.e. thank you's and alike begin with a symbol.

T for thanks perhaps

I`m in favor of moving the thank-you`s to the cigars and related board altogether..

Hmmm, Maybe it's time for another forum to be added. The Thankyou Forum. All reciepts of trades, Birthday Clubs, and just outright gifts, could express their thanks there, without clogging up the other boards. But where do they belong???

Can the headings be different colors?

Otherwise I like RDC's idea. How about all posts that aren't offering a trade or requesting a trade start with a *.

what about just putting "ISO" at the front of each trade offer?

Maybe a Trader Comments forum would do the trick.

I think that they belong on this board myself, I have had people I have traded with ask for feedback be left so they can build their "rep".

I agree with putting ISO or FT in the subject, if you want to skip the post-trade follow ups, or, birthday club posts, it's easy.

I don't think that asking our gracious webmasters to do more work and create additional boards is necessary.

Just my humble opinion.

Oh, and when you are ready to split some Ashton VSG Sorcerors, just email me on that one too. :-)

Okay, I know that I was Infantry but I "Really Don't Understand" all the confusion here!!! I have read this thread on a couple of occasions and finally decided to weigh in.

Fact: A good reputation is a must and will increase the trade activity for new guys. It is not so easy to break into the Wonderful World of Trading. Most people would like to have at least one reference or they will ask the new guy to send his end first to prove his honesty. Comments here help build a reputation and make people feel good as they see their name up in lights.

I don't think that we can ask the CBid staff to do more than they already do for us by providing this forum.

Slimboli said this a while back....In Search Of (ISO) or For Trade (FT) should be used to help people with limited time find the trades that they seek.

We Could Use Thank You (TY) to start a thread that is response of a trade or Birthday Club.

I see that I have rambled enough here...
