Okay, the second cigar for taste is a small cigar, I brought it to work with me to smoke at linch time.
It measures a little over 5 inches and the ring gauge looked a 46. It was a dark wrapper, a maduro. Construction
was pretty good, and wasn't oily at all. I cut the end and lit it, no aroma, just tobacco. The cigar felt a little soft
like it was humidified too much. As a took a first toke it felt easy to draw but there wasn't very much smoke.
It had a metalic taste at the begining, not harsh just kind of wierd. The ash was a dark grey with some white. At this point
I knew it was a maduro, it just tasted like one, it was very mild, as I inhaled I couldn't feel the smoke, it reminded me
of a macanudo maduro. The burn was pretty consistent, the ash fell at about 1" into it. The flavor was okay, sorta nutty.
The draw got better and so did the amount of smoke, one thing that p@#$%^ off was that the tobacco stained my finger!!!
At about the 3" mark I detected another flavor, couldn't quite put my finger on it, maybe wood??? (remember I am not an expert, sorry!)
The over all flavor wasgood no spicy or complexity but it wasn't horrible. The ash was flaky and after another 1 1/2" it fell off.
I finnaly put it down with about 2" left on it, I gave me a wierd after taste, I guess that having a migrane didn't help it.
It was a quick smoke, about 35 minutes, I didn't think it was a bad smoke, but I like my smokes to be more full bodied
and this one was very mild. I would probably smoke them in the morning or gift them to people that come over that ussually
do not smoke cigars. I am not sure what this is but it reminds me of a mayorga maddie or a macanudo.
It was okay, but nothing to sell the farm for!!!!
So Ethan, what was it?........
(here comes the embarassment!!!!)
