Ok, as per the trade setup for VHS tapes, I thought I might see if anyone was interested in trading some cdrs for cigars. I don't know what's fair, really, so you can help me decide. 4 or 5 discs per cigar, at least... if that's not fair, just let me know.

These discs are CONCERTS, and therefore perfectly legal for me to trade (but not sell), often recorded by a fan with mics or sometimes from the soundboard. Most of them are great quality, so that's not too big of an issue.

If you're familiar with the .shn format, I can (and prefer) burning that, but I'll copy in audio (which will play in a regular stereo) if that's what you want.

I can post a list if anyone wants, or just ask and I'll see what I have. I have about 400 shows, so maybe we can deal.

My cigar interests are basically limited by what I've had, but I do have a few interests. I would like to try anything CAO. I like Don Tomas (I've had an International variety, but all are welcome). I'd like to try a Cohiba (not ISOM). I like medium to full flavored in smaller (less than 52) rings.

Anywho, if anyone is even a little interested, just post here. I'll email you or I can post the list (if that's allowed, and I'm not sure why it wouldn't be).

These cds will be copies on Taiyo Yuden cdrs (the cds prefered by Grateful Dead traders, so they're the best stuff out). I can label them with permanent marker if you want, or post it, or whatever (no label maker tho). I only say this so that if we do trade there will be no surprises about what you're getting. Trying to cover the bases.

Ok, any questions, feel free to ask. Any offers, feel free to make.

Thanks!!!

Still no email chipslave. I checked carefully, but just put something I'll notice in the subject, or just reply with my subject still there... Don't know what the problem is.

Wait a minute. .yes I do. My email doesn't EVER like odd things in the email name, esp with hotmail. So the dot in the first part of yours messes it up. I've noticed this with the "_" before, but never a dot. Either way. I'll email you from another account that you can reply to for sure.

My apologies, and I'll send again immediately.

Wait yours isn't even the one with the dot in it... my bad. Anyway, I'll send from another address anyway and see if it'll work.

Got the email, I'll email soon to get set up.

This offer is still open, and will be for a long time.

I have all kinds of music. Classic rock, jam band... just all sorts. If you'd be willing to part with some cigars, then you could get some good music in return...

Chipslave, your discs are finished, and I'll mail them Priority mail on Monday. Thanks!

mcronin, I've transfered your shows to my computer and I've started burning them. Transfering took much longer than expected (about 4 hours) and burning will probably take as long. But I'm on it, and I'll probably be done tonight. I'll update when finished, however.

billyjackson, your discs will get going next, but shouldn't take that long. 3 or 4 hours total.

Thanks!

For those of you who didn't say how to label these discs, you have choices. Either a permanent marker or post it's. I'll go with postits for now.

I should have thought to mention this before, but if you're sending me a package, I'd greatly appreciate if you'd either include the names etc of what you send or email it to me. I'm not familiar enough at this point to pick out most of the stuff. Maybe that's something that you all do anyway, I'm just not sure.

Thanks!

You know what... no, I don't !!! I've got room for about 30 cigars. But that'll change soon. I'll buy a 100 or so capacity humidor once I get paid (soon, maybe), and then I'll be set. I didn't really think the music trading would go over quite so well. But it's working out well for all involved. I'm glad I had about 200 blank discs on hand, however... :)

Just email me back and we can set something up. Thanks!

wbslinger, I'm sending the list presently.

billyjackson, I sure hope your happy with the discs. I have no doubt that I'll be pleased with the cigars. And I've updated my list, adding about 10 or so shows, so my total is not over 400.

Ok, I'll be mailing 5 packages tomorrow. Everyone I've spoken with that's given a list will have discs in the mail tomorrow. I'm recycling bubble mailers, so they're going to be a bit taped up, but don't freak out or anything. In fact, I'm going to have to use a bit of duct tape on usahog's package... hope that's ok. Just wanted to alert you all so you won't worry when such a ramshackle package gets to you. They'll arrive safely, have no fear.

All 5 packages have been mailed.

chipslave, I got the cigars from you today! (Already!!) Thanks! I wouldn't have dared to ask for such great cigars! You pretty much nailed what I've seen around and wanted to try. Padron, CAO, Gurkha, Dr Monte.

Wow, I'm awed. I hope you really like the cds!

Thanks chipslave, but I'll just wait until the show comes to me. I usually don't have to look for shows anymore, they sort of just trickle down to me.

Incidentally, this offer is still very open, and I'll be glad to take more people! I'm loving the suspense of getting cigars in the mail from you people.

I have a list of all sorts of music (just ask some of these people who've seen the list), so you will more than likely be able to find something you like.

if you want to email me to see the list

I did finally get a Johnny Cash show, and I just listened to it. It is great! Date is Glastonbury, 26 June 1994

Anywho, I'd love to get more people in on this. Thanks for those of you who participated so far!
