I will be on duty Sat/Sun/Mon 0700-1900 hours. So if I need to sign for the pass, I won't be able to get it until Tues AM. Usually, my deliveries get left without signing under a barrel on my porch and I've never had a problem. My mailman is a pretty good guy. Or, the guy upstairs is cool. He can sign if he is home.

Would it be easier if I ship on Monday so you will get it on about Wed.?

Wow, spence! I remember the rules said "take something and replace it with something of equal or greater value."

Man, did you ever choose the latter of those two options!

Man, now I wish I had been later in the pass, lol.

I think we'll be ok for shipment tomorrow. I'll catch my mailman tomor. and tell him about it. It'll be cool.
BTW, nice plays. You're really raising the bar on this pass.

Do you guys think I over-did it... I still have the box, so I can do some shuffling. I just get freaked out at the thought that I might stiff the rest of the guys along the pass...and I like to share.

Looks like only one more stop till me! This box is looking good. There's only one problem I see. It has to go through Cleveland (Mistake by the Lake) before it gets to me in Pittsburgh. Oh well, I guess the Steelers do that every year on their way to the playoffs so it's only fitting this pass does the same on it's way to me. :)

Roger that. Fortunately, I realized after posting that I am off duty Monday. So no worries.
Mike
Don't worry. I'm not really a big football fan. Sunday means nothing to me. Now, if we're talking hockey, that's another story. GO CAPS!

Ouch! A Caps fan from Cleveland! Probably my worst nightmare. :)

The Steelers are very important to me so Sunday I will be glue to the TV since I couldn't get this weeks tickets. But more important to me are the Pens. So, like I said Ouch!

In fact, I traveled to DC for the last playoff game in DC between them a few years back. Being in DC in Black 'n Gold for a playoff game was interesting.

Well I hope you enjoy the pass more than you've enjoyed having Jagr! :)

Seriously,
Jagr has been a Jag-off for the Caps!
I myself am a Canucks fan, Oilers fan and closet Maple Leafs fan. Something about these teams that very few American teams have...they are fun to watch, so much heart and love of the game. Maybe it is how great the fans are because they know the history of the game and of teams. Anyway, I'm with you Doug, hockey is the way to go.

The only time I ever wathc hockey is playoff time and I try to watch every game I can. I am not a particular fan of any team.

Spence,

Jagr was a jag-off his last 2 years here. He's still one of my favorite all time players just for pure excitement. He can (or used to be able to) do things that very few in the league could ever do. He was simply amazing when he wanted to be.

But I do have to disagree with you about the Canadian teams being the only ones fun to watch. The Pens up until last year would prefer to go up and down the ice with any team. The Avs are pretty wide open too. Although most are now going the way of the Devils. But the Leafs are definitely moving up my list of favorite teams. But every time I go to a game at the Igloo vs. the Leafs the Toronto fans make me realize why they were so low on my list to begin with. They are the most ignorant I've ever been around. They're even worse than Flyer fans.

Anyway, sorry about the thread jack. :)

Mitb,
do you mean ignorant as in lacking knowledge, or ignorant as in loud mouthed $hit disturbers? I agree with the latter. You should go to a Sabers Leafs game in Buffalo sometime......they get pretty tense, sometimes violent.

I mean ignorant as in flag waiving during play, non-stop swearing with lots of little kids around even after they were asked nicely to stop, trying to throw an almost full cup of beer from the balcony to the lower level from the 10th row in the balcony, spitting on people, tripping people going up the steps, shall I go on?!

I witnessed all these first hand just in and around my section during games vs. the Leafs. These were all done by different groups of people during different games over a few years. I have a partial season ticket plan and have not picked a game vs. Toronto in 2 years because of this crap. I've been to games against every other team in the NHL and no other team's fans have ever acted like that. Phili fans come close but it's usually a few knuckleheads at one game and not every game.

I remember being at Caps/Devils game in Wash. where the players on the ice were distracted by the fist fights in the stands between the fans.
BTW, I'm off today eagerly awaiting to see if the pass arrives.

There is debate on other passes about the being able to trade an ISOM for a non ISOM. As a matter of fact it was me who posed that question. Most participants said that was ok. However depending on whose official rules you were using that is a no no according to them. My take would be if it was the only ISOM in the pass then I would say it's not fair to the guys behind you in the pass. But if there are other ISOM's in there then that would be fine. Just my .02

I've seen the Cuban for non-Cuban debate a few times in various passes. It seems that it typically would be a no no, however, I think it would be up to the creator of the box pass as to whether it is acceptable or not. Ulitmately, the creator is the one who ends up with the cigars and if they don't mind I don't see why anyone else would have an issue with it. Just my $.02.

I like the "It's godfathers call". I got the same mixed reaction from my question in another pass. In the end though they did have that stated in the rules so it was a mote point.

Box Away!
Sorry for the delay, but things at work came up. We could be forced to lay off 32 Paramedics come January. That would drop us from 21 ambulances to 15, on a good day.
The delivery confirmation number is:
0303 0130 0001 1843 0533

Hope you enjoy, Mike.

Ok, I went through the box and everything seems to be in order. The inventory from hense's post was right on. The only thing strange was that there was a bag of dog biscuits. Hmmmm... upon further inspection of this bag I noticed it was a special gift from the Dog Pound in Cleveland. Grrrrr!!! I'm still smarting from the whipping they put on the Steelers Sunday. On top of it the Pens just lost 3-0 but the new kid in goal looked good, really really good. Even stopped a penalty shot. What an introduction to the NHL. First shot he faced was a shorthanded breakaway that went in then he stopped everything else with the exception of one power play goal. The last goal was empty net. He's going to be damn good.

Anyway... for my takes and puts:

Takes:
Buc Z
Ashton VSG
Cuesta Rey Sungrown
El Rey Delmondo

Puts:
Montecristo Platinum
Opus X #4
La Unica Cameroon Robusto #4
Ramon Allones Maestro
IP Brikk

These were tough decisions because they all looked really good. I wanted to take the Buc Crew but wanted to leave a Buc for someone else, the CAO Anniv's look really good, that Torano Silver looks a lot like an ISOM and that Partagas ISOM looks great. If anyone has any of these that they would be interested in trading send me an email. I would love to try them all but I tried to keep it at the 4 rule that was set.

Let me know what you guys think about the takes/puts and if they are ok I will post an updated inventory and get the box on its way to Tinman on Monday after I try and get it to Mt. Washington for a photo op.

Looks like your pass is doing well. I enjoy watching the progress; good job on getting it off the ground.

On a side note, was that a good use of a semicolon?
