Roman,

Today is your day. I wish you a very Happy Birthday and hope that you will enjoy the day with a few special smokes.

In honor of your Birthday I am firing up a Montecristo Edicious Limitadas 2001. Burn a few down, now I leave you with my favorite quote:

"There's something about smoking a cigar that feels like a celebration. It's like a fine wine. There's a quality, a workmanship, a passion that goes into the smoking of a fine cigar."

Who is the writer?

Regards,

B

My Sincerest Thank-you and deep felt appreciation to all My Brothers (and Sister) of the Leaf for this tremendous surprise upon firing up the Boards this afternoon as well as the great cards and messages.

Billy - we are real Bros. in many ways (HOOAH !) - one of the best things for me about the year that just ended is getting to meet you and so many of the great guys and gal on this forum.

Enjoy that Montecristo Edicione Limitada 2001 --- I will be blowing the smoke from mine eastward tonight as I 've discovered the "secret" place the Cadet surprise is taking me to -- Little Italy, NYC --great for unobstructed access to Atlantic Ocean and then Germany !!

Roman,

Happy birthday my friend! When in Little Italy...try to sample the Peking Duck across the street in Chinatown...best place in NY for Duck is the "Peking Duck House" on Mott Street.

Otherwise, some fine drinks and hefty Italian cuisine at Little Italy's own Famous "Sambuca's Restuarant" at Mulburry Street.

Both a couple of my favorites when in downtown Manhattan.

Cheers!

Emgjet (ED) -

Thanks for the nice wishes and recommendations for both sides of Canal St... We LOVE the Peking Duck House --- keep running into Ed Koch there - he agrees with you that it's the finest in the City.

Have not tried Sambuccas - but it just got added to the list. We go down a little further to a place that still not only allows but encourages you to make their establishment the place for you to have your dinner and then smoke your cigars after. The Cadets and I took full advantage of their hospitality till the wee hours today.
If you want the name of the place - email me as I am afraid they are no longer considered "approved" for these activities and I would not do anything to bring about any problems for this great establishment.
