Oh, Now This is Personal - In the Words of a Good Friend of Mine " I figure the cost of flying over to Germany (Ooops, NJ) to try and talk some sense into you would make this a very expensive box of cigars!"

Greg Make Sure the DJ don't get lost or smoke all the gars - I know that I can trust you! =)

Hey Guys,
The Eagle has landed.
Going to the P.O. to pick it up right now. I had my postal worker, used to be mailman but this is a woman, leave it there this morning, so it did not ride around all day, in her unairconditioned truck. As I am on the end of her route, I thought that would be best. She is a cutey. And single, I may have to get to know her better. LOL
I Love being single.

Homebrew Dave ---
I LOVE when that EAGLE lands !!!!!!

Thanks for the relief to the anxiety quotient that your news brought...now as far as being single...I can't remember that far back...but my wife has never objected to cigar smoking in the house --- so I know I have chosen wisely and am truly blessed..oh sorry, I didn't have to add that last part about being blessed after all - she left the room....

Hey Everybody,
I am looking in the box right now. Everything is in order. Will be making my picks and puts, over the next hour or so, and will post them tomorrow. With my work schedule, it will be a good idea for Rocco to be ready, as I need to send it out tomorrow, if possible.

Guys, one correction to the listing by Roman above:

The Gurkha Estate Reserve 1940, listed under Ultra Premium, is a pre-embargo cuban according to my local shop guru. Because of that I listed it in my puts as a habana.
If it is not considered as such, than I owe the pass one habana and will send it ASAP, with my apologies to all.

my understanding is that is supposedly made with tobacco from the pre embargo cuban era, but is definitely not considered ISOM

Ok Guys,
Just got home from work. Package was sent this morning. Tracking Number 0301 0120 0003 7020 3031
Hope Ya'll are having as much fun as I am. I might have to wait a little while before the next pass. Got so many trades going right now my head is already reeling.
Doc, it was great visiting with you, on the phone. Thanks for the links, they will be usefull in preperation for the next pass. Even if you could only understand a third of what I said, because of the southern drawl. LOL And my friends here think I sound like a yankee. Great job on the organization of this pass. Very well done. Tell your wife she did a great job. LOL

In anticipation for the pass I'm going to post my takes and puts.

Puts - $576.34 (I raided both kids piggy banks, but still couldn't get to $600). What's a few $$$ between friends.

Takes - Every stinking cigar in the box.

LOL - If I did that I somehow think that Doc has the resources to pull the troops out of Iraq and send a few to my house.

I'm hoping that it gets here Saturday.

Hey Rocco --- That's funny - but since you brought it up --- I called my buddy who is the XO for a Special Forces group out of Ft. Bragg as well as some members of the 82nd AIRBORNE returning home from the Mid-East (Iraq and Quatar) and told them of the PARTY with unlimited food - drinks and premium smokes that you have offered to share with any Military personnel that come around to your part of IL !!!!!!

So - what I want to know is ----- who is laughing now ???!!!!

Seriously - let us ALL know when that Eagle lands !! After Octowings gets the PASS - the Bros. of the Pass from OH are getting together for a mini-herf and processing the PASS in one shot and speeding it along the way !!!!

You guys have all been GREAT !!!

I just screwed up. I just realized that the instruction sheet, and give and take sheets, are still on my desk. Rocco, I will be sending it out today. Will try to overnight it to you. Sorry for the delay.

That's OK Homebrew - honest error that you jumped right on with that overnight mail to Rocco.

HOWEVER ----- we are all adults and realize that there are consequences for our actions - even when they are honest mistakes. So in keeping with the rules of the PASS (these are the unpublished rules that only I knew about - they were written in super secret vanishing ink --- you'll just have to take my word for it...) -Homebrew -- you now need to send every member of the PASS 3 Habanas, an Opus , a PAM and a Graycliff......Hey, when you play with the Big Dogs -- the stakes are high !!!

Gentlemen,

The package has arrived. The box is pretty warm, so it is sitting in my basement cooling off. I will post my puts and takes tomorrow and package the box up for shipping on Monday.

Octowings, please let me know that you are ready to receive. Also, because of our little mix up I do not have your address. Please send it to me at rocco dot marrandino at equifax dot com.

Homebrew - I hope you sent the paperwork - instructions -addresses and pre-made out Priority Labels out to Rocco Express Mail like you promised.

Rocco - Hold up your sending to Octowings till all of the material is received by you from Homebrew. Also please make sure the paperwork is included in the PASS when you send it on.

Sorry to hold up progress - but there is a lot of accompanying detail in the documentation that should be there when you open the box - as well as those VERIFIED Correct address labels !!

Hey Guys,
I believe I do owe everyone a really great smoke. I fumbled the pass, by not getting the instruction packet back in the box before packing and shipping. Screwed up again, by forgetting that my local post office is closed on Saturday. I will Fedex overnight, the instruction packet to Rocco, on Mon. Please forgive me for this grave error. It will be corrected soon. I'm sorry Docrks, for screwing up your flawless administration of this box pass. I hope I will still be included in future box passes. This was my first box pass, and I understand how much trouble I have caused. Please forgive my unforgivable error.

Guys,

Don't worry about the pass, the sticks are resting peacefully. The box is in bad shape and probably won't make it more than another week or so. I will place all of the goodies in a new box, with the proper packaging.

I will wait until I receive all of the paperwork before sending it on.

Homebrew. Considering the pace of your life from what you tell us, it's lucky that is the only problem you had. :-) Don't worry about it. Rocco will take care of setting it straight again.

BTW Rocco. Thanks for the cigars, beer, cannolli and company this weekend. Enjoyed the visit. Be on the lookout for a thank-you package this week.

Rocco - a nice way to play the PASS - good assortment and proper substitution of a Habana in lieu of a top Domestic.
Thanks for taking good care of your visitors and offering then a place to rest before they continue the journey.

Dan,

Thanks for stopping by. It was good to meet you and Mrs Dan. You have a very nice family

FYI - I did catch the 24-hour bug and was hurting all day yesterday. Also, thanks for the smokes. Another fine collection of sticks I haven't tried. No need for a thank you package.

Homebrew,

Don't worry about the paperwork, we'll get the box back on track. What I would worry about is me breaking into that box and going hog wild with all of the smokes. As of today at noon I am no longer responsible for my actions.

Rocco -

ok---but then just before noon - please forward the address where we can send the flowers and the notes of condolence.

I'm sure you'll have the overnight from Homebrew by Tuesday and then the complete package can get back on its way to Octowings.
