A lot of those blowups and meltdowns no longer exist. Remember, on the old forum, they didn't delete threads they just deleted the title from the database index. So they wouldn't be visible on the forum page, but if you had saved the url or knew the thread number, you could still accesstje thread. The unindexed threads were all deleted during the switch over to this new format.

Rembember the hidden boards?

Years ago, I found a lot of threads by putting random numbers in where the post number was......some of it interesting...mostly a waste of time poking around the haystack...I had save links to first overbid, first pic, first animated gif, some silly stuff from gonz and others, but I don't have those anymore....I never did have the great ones saved

Man, I've been reading thru these threads and laughing my AZZ off, giggling like a little girl actually......My wife thinks I've finally gone completely batchit crazy.
I've been reading them in order, top to bottom, and just read the "SHPO" thread..........now I know where that came from,, Thank You.

Ok guys, time to really let my ignorance shine........why is it that when I click on the links to other topics do I get the message "This Topic Does Not Exist"? Have these topics been deleted? If so, why do topics get deleted? Who decides to delete a topic? I mean I'm assuming it's c-bid who decides, but what is the criteria for deletion......competitor references? vulgar language? threatening or racial comments..........enquiring minds need to know

When the new forum (the one you are using now) went live, the database and indexing was updated, which changed the urls of all threads.

yeah, but some links work and some give the no longer exists message???? And actually before the "upgrade" I used to read the old threads and would try to use the links and I would get the same no longer exists message........or when you say the "new forum" do you mean as opposed to an "old forum" from before my time.......pre Sept./2016? Think
