When I was in high school......many moons ago.......I worked at a company in Brockton Mass. that made those plastic lemons filled with lemon juice. There were many Mexican woman who worked there on the lines where machinery filled and capped the lemons from a big vat. One of my jobs was to add the ingredients to the vats......citric acid, lemon concentrate and the other stuff.
You would not believe some of the things I would find floating around in those vats........used tissues, tampons used and unused, wads of mucusy? substances, condoms......you name it. Needless to say I have never used any of this companies products since.
The company also makes candy apple kits, choco covered banana kits, guacamole mix, smoothie mixes etc., etc. usually these products have their own racks in the grocery stores. This company is now in Avon Mass. I believe,but their products are sold everywhere.
Moral of the story.........if you are in the market for these products, look for the address on the box and if it says made in Avon or Brockton Mass. , ............my advice would be Don't Do It. Find a recipe online and make it yourself.
