Seems no one in the white house is communicating?

remniscent of how no one at the dnc wanted to talk about all the leaked emails that showed the dnc actually rigged the primary to insure a clinton victory...

it's funny how politicians on both sides never want to talk about stuff that's potentially embarassing even if it wasn't illegal...

good thing us regular folk are immune to that...

so anyway Victor, how are your anal warts doing? As big and painful as ever?

You missed the point opel..
Trump tweeted the tax returns were fake...
...a couple hours after the white house released the same numbers.

They either aren't communicating to produce a consistent message or they are intentionally creating two opposing messages to create more controversy (and cover for something else)

and did you ever consider that maybe - just maybe - you're being trolled? cuz when I see liberals and the mainstream media getting their panties wadded up over an 11 year old tax return or the tweets about that return or the fact the tweet didn't match this message over here - all I can think is wow, our president really likes to mess with stupid people...

Opel... my opinion has nothing to do with the actual tax return. I think it's stupid to care what his 05 return was. I think it's stupid that he's trolled the American people to the point that an 05 return is news...

Look at the theme of the article. Mismatched communication. That shows a lack of organization or an intentional idiocity.

My guess is these were released by either John Barron or John Miller and done in a way to feign outrage and yell fake news

The theory I heard was it was intentional... that of all the returns this was the one they could choose that seemed the most innocuous. I don't know why the news agencies turned this into a story... it doesn't seem important.
But that raises the question... why was Trump screaming fake news about this... after his administration confirmed it.

Doesn't give me much faith that he has any knowledge what his group is doing.

Why wouldn't he? One theory: He IS John Barron and John Miller. He releases his own favorable return. He then screams it is theft and illegal and fake news. But then confirms part just to make sure the favorable returns are known to be real. News cycle fodder all the way around. What health care and what do you mean there is no evidence of wiretaping?

You forget... with the Trumpbots he can have his cake and eat it too. This isn't a lack of understanding what his group is doing. This is you connecting all the dots when the folks complicit in the don the con scam willingly do not.

He doesn't act like anything more than a 5 year old trying to distract you from the fact he didn't do his reading assignment.

If you want to qualify that as not kingly... that's on you.

As much truth as there is in that statement, it pays to consider how much worse it would be had Trump not prevailed in the election last Nov ...

so literally, he doesn't act kingly enough for you... it's not his policies, not his agenda... as you stated, you don't care about those things because you would've been happy to have someone you conceded was "the most dishonest and corrupt politician of the past quarter century" as long as she acted queenly, or "professionally" as you put it...

We just don't talk about it because this smokescreen of insanity has distracted everyone.

Opel... I'm open on this one because there is a range of reports. I'm trying to find one that is... reliable...
But my best understanding is that it was planned during Obama and delayed. Reasons could be weather... Or could be risk. Then Trump executed it. Some reports indicate counteradvised?... either way... way more damning info than anything Clinton's been accused of. (Again... I don't care how many people either kills... but the people who seem to care how many cli nton is responsible for sure have a blind spot for trump.)

Not sure who leaked the two pages...but Jared was ecstatic and tweeted a thank you to the media for publishing them, since they showed Trump made a ton of money and paid about 24% in taxes. So they were a good reflection on the President... but Trump's reaction is contrary to the WH's attempt to inform everyone before the "leak". Seems he really doesn't want anyone to see his tax docs...

My view: the two pages made available are just summaries, like a cover page. We need all the accompanying documents that were filed along with those cover pages, to know how his accountant got to those numbers: sources of income, sources of debt, deductions and credits, etc. I have a suspicion, like victor, that these two pages were cherry-picked and leaked by Trump, or someone allied with Trump. Kinda like going through a miserable report card and highlighting the "A" in P.E. In other words...is our President beholden to anyone, is he evading paying his fair share/legal taxes?

Also, the return showed that if not for the Alternative Minimum Tax rule in place to ensure wealthy people who have a lot of credits and deductions pay a fair share of taxes, Trump would've only paid about $5 million, an effective rate of only 3%. The AMT was about $31 million...guess who's going to do away with the AMT in his tax reform proposal?
