Will be interesting to see the reactions and where it leads.

And will not be totally shocked if found to be true.

Agent orange said it, it must be true. No matter that there are no facts to back it up. The Russians probably told one of his people who forgot they spoke to them.

Ohhhh...

O-bama

Tapping TRUMPS phone?

TRUMP IS A WHINING LITTLE
P.U.S.S.Y....

WHAT A WHINER !!!

Try having your phone tapped for 4+ years,
Followed everywhere you go,
Intimidated and harrassed daily,
Getting "GREENLIGHTED" BY OBAMA AND COMEY
Who they both ordered
6+ ATTEMPTS ON MY LIFE BY FBI-SSG FELON AGENTS
WHO STOLE ALL MY MONEY FROM MY HUT,

ON AND ON...
& STILL GOING ON...even today..March 4, 2017..
THEN tomorrow, it never ends...

One tapped phone is a *****ING JOKE...
and it isn't tapped anymore...

What a friggin" P.U.Z.Z.I.E.

So when there are "questions" about the Trump camp and possible Russian involvement, it's OK to treat it as fact.
But when Trump says his phones were tapped you can't consider it to have any credibility?

The partisan see-saw in this nation is becoming a caricature of itself.

I am sure there will be plenty of gray to go around and all parties will be able to confidently stand on their version of facts.

I'm concerned that President 'I don't care about political correctness' went rogue with this. Even if he can float very convincing 'evidence' in next day or two, he has made a choice to permanently dismiss a huge portion of the population that was already struggling with him. Seems premature to write off that third of the population who adore Obama. Trump is a smart guy, and has to know this...Just seems to me that he has written them off a bit early. Things are going to get a LOT more divisive before they get better

Russian involvement in a conspiracy is not the same as speaking to a Russian ambassador.

"late night trump fever dream".
I like that one!

Tail... trumps Russia crap came out through numerous sources and evidence.
What we have right now is a mentally unstable 70ish year old man randomly tweeting inanities in the middle of the night after reading an article in a website well known for incorrect conspiracy theories. Not exactly something a smart person should put much weight on.

The real amusing stuff is that what this is theoretically based on is some FISA thing...

The best I can understand is that a wiretap can only be ordered without a judge's involvement if there are no us citizens involved... and this is overseen by the house and senate.

This isn't likely an "Obama did this!" Thing. Either he was under investigation for being a "bad hombre " or he's a raving orange nutbag. I'm betting nutbag.

Victor, the judge doesn't order it he authorizes it.

And ordering one on a US General? That is a little over the head of an FBI field agent broseph.

Tony, unless there is evidence that Obama tapped Trump's phone then this is a lie. The same goes for accusing Trump of treason. Unless there is evidence then that is a lie. You may not like him, but he is our president. Maybe not for you, but for me the office of the president deserves my respect. I may not like many of his actions, and am going to comment on them. But I have no reason to lie about him.

Here's a thought....

BEFORE CONGRESS WASTES $50+++ MILLIONS OF DOLLARS INVESTIGATING A DIRTY GUILTY
MIDGET, THEN FINDING HIM INNOCENT and convict him of nothing....

JUST B.A.G. THE WHOLE *****ING WITCH HUNT
AND GIVE THAT MONEY TO VICTIMS OF FBI- SSG
FELON GANGSTALKING....

WHICH CAN BE PROVEN 100% hands down guilty
With a mere $10 million or less....

THE ENTIRE FBI-SSG DIVISION NEEDS PROSECUTED
AND JAILED....

**** THE LOSER MENTAL DIRTY MIDGET ,
WHO GIVES A CRAAP??
He'll never be convicted....

Go after REAL CRIMINALS...

ALL EYES ON " COINTELPRO II CONGRESSIONAL
HEARINGS"...
make the A.G. MIDGET lead the way prosecuting these FELON CRIMINAL FBI-SSG
THUGS WHO RUNAMOK EACH DAY EVERYDAY
RUINING THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT U.S.
CITIZENS LIVES and then sometimes actually KILLING the CITIZENS in fake accidents...

SCCREW THE MEETING BETWEEN RUSKIES AND
A MIDGET....W.G.A.F.???

JAIL EVERY SSG AGENT IN THE BUREAU
CARTBLANCHE.

I don't get it - what is the BFD over this?

So what if Obama tapped Trump's phone. The govmut can tap anyone's phone - in order to keep us all safe. That was the point of the Patriot Act right?

Or is this another one of those "Obama spends too much govmut money on vay-k" threads?

My guess is that the intelligence community has FISA approval to listen in on suspected Russian (and other foreign countries') spies: people who are out of country planning nefarious things and seeking compromising intel; and other Russian spies discovered in country under diplomatic cover. Supposedly, these people are so dangerous to our sovereignty and security, that our intelligence community has approval to listen in on all their telephonic conversations and on-line activities, even when they talk to/email an American, who just might be in the Trump Tower.

I didn't hear/read that at all. All parties that might have been involved have demonstratively claimed that "Obama did not tap (or order, or authorize 'the tap').

I think they've taken a page out of the Trump "truth is subjective; parse my words carefully and try to find the actual lie" playbook.

I strongly suspect there may have been a tap. I expect it will be found to have been the result of a properly executed order/warrant. I also would bet that Obama knew about it. But I think the FBI is also likely correct in the narrow statement that "Obama did not order it."

I still believe that Trump made a tactical error by needlessly further alienating every Obama fan in the country.

And, while not terribly logical, this will further the 'Trump as racist' rhetoric. If only because the majority of blacks DO still like Obama ....a lot.

I'd say this one single sentence lends credence that one group is as racist as the other is being accused of. The majority of Blacks voted for him ONLY because he was Black ( well .5 anyway ) without knowing or caring to know anything else about the man.

That's quite a leap, Paul. I've talked to a LOT of blacks who like Obama. I don't recall ever hearing one say that they like him only because he's black. And, I sure didn't say or even imply that.

I've never seen any polls or data, so I'm guessing about this, but that sounds like your conclusion...not necessarily that of "majority of Blacks."

Dsteig... I'd like to point out that the sentence in question was quite a strawman... (tcby turned it into some paranoid delusion of his)...
I've not seen any indication that people are calling Trump racist because he thinks Obama wiretapped him. Throwing that out is just setting up a non-existent argument that you know you can win.

This is providing evidence that Trump is an unstable idiot who will believe anything the blogs tell him...

And precisely WHAT is wrong with setting up an argument that I know I can win?

I'm not sure that the offending sentences was communicated very clearly. I didn't mean to suggest that anyone has thrown the racist card with regards to this weekend's tweetstorm.

I am only suggesting that the whole 'Trump is racist' declarations, which are never well defended will probably get a boost. Not that there's any more justification now than there was before. But those that believe, for whatever reason....truly believe...that Trump is racist....MAY well see racism as motive for unfounded declarations against recent black president. I've not heard it...and I'm not calling for it....I just think its a risk that was careless, if not stupid

Of course they don't answer with "He my homie and errything" but when asked, they typically could not tell you what his platform was nor where he stood on any issue. Further, I do remember some that were interviewed who said they were voting for the first black president.
