So I'm sitting here in the dark smoking a lovely le bijou when I finally decide it's time to ash it. well I hear a bit of a hiss and realize I ashed it into my coffee. Jokes on me except I decide to take a full gulp of Joe and it was fabulous. My new coffee blend now includes a healthy dose of ash. I wonder if this will even better with a padron

An "Ashy" aroma indicates a dark roast, and is not necessarily a negative attribute.

Black Rifle Coffee Company -- Owned by veterans, they make some awesome coffee and their YouTube vids are great, they hate hipster coffee.

I can't always afford BRCC and they sell out often, but Aldis had an Organic Peru whole bean last time we were there. One of the best coffees I've ever had at home. Also got a bag of Honduran whole bean but haven't opened it yet.

I've heard of them but never tried the coffee. There's very few suppliers of green coffee but if they offer it I will buy from them. I've been into roasting my own for about five years and there really is no better way IMO.

Coffee is like cigars in many ways, so many possibilities. If you have the time its worth the effort. Worlds best coffee at bargain basement prices.

I have neither the time nor inclination to roast for others, just another hobby that I enjoy.

We roast our own daily here on cbid. Most can't take the roasting and are never seen nor heard from again. Some enjoy it and stick around, most just stay for Jacks icandi pics.

Gotta be careful with those coffee cups.
I was drinking hot coffee in one cup and dry cherrios in another, I mixed em up and threw hot coffee in my own face.
Sometimes I don't feel so smart.
