Those cigars aren't even worth throwing on a bonfire ... and life does not go downhill after 40 ... in later years looking back, you'll find that 40s and 50s are better times than what went before ...

Go, instead, with a really good cigar and a top-flight adult beverage ... there's wonderful times ahead

Opus 20th since he is a Fuenteho or a Padron 90th because they are supposed to be really good as well and it sticks with the birthday theme, Happy Birthday NapalmMan.

No, it wasn't ... I once was involved in a humorous trade in which we swapped 'worst cigars' ... which is how I got my one and only Dark Shark, which I'm pretty sure qualifies as worst cigar of all time ... and, in a visit to Cigar Fest, I actually found someone who claimed to enjoy Puros Indios and promptly gave them every single one that had been given me at the door ... those are seriously awful cigars that make one wonder how they ever survived in the market place ...

My actual dispute was with the notion that life goes downhill after 40 ... that is a patently false notion that probably equals the idea that a Puros Indios cigar is worth smoking .... I don't know anyone who has lived through their 40s and 50s who would say their life experience peaked at 40 ...

Yes, all splendid suggestions... *Note to self, avoid herfing with 99cobra2881 and qmech.

So, I know math be hard for them southern boys an all, and Corey proves it with every bomb he sends... lol But the last time I checked, plus 10 of his 40yr age would be 50.

Which I will be in about 6 months. Right now I have an Opus BBMF ('10) and a Padron Hammer napping in wait for the fateful 50 day.

Corey's 40th is in March though, so I think a birthday bombing is in order.

Carry on.

The most expensive may not, in fact, be the best cigar ... or, for that matter, not necessarily a truly good cigar ...

If I've learned nothing else in decades of smoking cigars, price is no predictor of taste or quality

If you spend more money on a cigar then I would hope it would be better. If you pay more for a cigar that isn't as good as something less expensive, then that is your bad. hahaha

Either way, you should still smoke your most expensive, just to say you had it...no matter how good it is.

Heck, I can't even remember my 40th.
I'd suggest light up that one special cigar that you've been saving for such an occasion, or pick the one that has your fondest memories associated.

Case in point: Gurkha. Expensive cigars that suck.

I assume he knows they suck and wouldn't buy one...so that wouldn't be an issue. If he did, that is his fault. I would still smoke it on the birthday to say he did.
