This is not entirely correct. I believe that when any candidate gets a certain percentage of the votes they are entitled to receive federal election funding which can help to further establish a third party.

Yes this is correct 5% to receive general election funds. A candidate has to be polling at 15% to be included in debates. There was some discussion about how that system is manipulated as they took three polls to average for the recent debate and one didn't include voters under 25 and another didn't include independents that were selected for the decision. Those 2 demographics make a large portion of the 3rd party vote.

This is why I get so aggravated when people say a vote for a 3rd party is a wasted vote. Since I'm in Indiana and the republicans have it wrapped up I have always voted for the biggest 3rd party candidate to feel that I did my part to try to meet this threshold regardless of whether I supported the major candidates. It is clear we need more options.

The GOP is in trouble.
That's why we need Trump.

The Dems are in trouble too.
But Hillary would just make it worse.

I'm not saying Trump is perfect. But he's the anti-establishment (in DC). So much so that prominent republicans are endorsing Hillary.
this isn't about conservative versus liberal. Trump is not less conservative than Hillary.
The reason these dolts are afraid of trump is because he's against the status quo.

Shake it up.
We won't have change unless we're willing to take some risk.
Pull off that bandaid with one swift yank.
America will survive 4 years of agent orange. In fact, she'll probably be better for it.

Hillary wants to grow the government.
Social programs grow exponentially, and in perpetuity.
They solve nothing while placating few. But they make great sound bytes.

Is it bytes or bites?

You probably think that Trump is a conservative as well. fog

I agree with this but.... Trump could do great things or he do do the exact opposite of that. The problem for most is that nobody quite knows what the opposite of that is. He definitely wouldn't have been my ideal third party guy.

It's a good thing I live in Indiana and can vote for Johnson with a clear conscious Herfing unless Hillary closes the gap in a month Brick wall

I clearly stated that "Trump is not less conservative" than the Hill Dog.
The wording purposely avoids saying that he IS conservative.
Curious where you'd get such a notion about what I "probably think".
