Why is the media showing pictures of police officers involved in shootings?

Around here being a cop is a highly desired job.
When my Kid was applying and testing there would be 100 guys there for each position.
He's been a cop for a little over two years and will make over 90k this year.
He does work a lot of OT.

Which is why I'm completely baffled at your attitude towards LEO's. But, not at all surprised.

My, aren't we judgemental.
I have no use for cops, most are **** to the 1st degree.
As far as my Kid, he's my Kid.
I'm sure that many people consider him an **** too.

Negative ghost rider. Their is no approved training that teaches that. First, the torso is a larger target. Harder to miss which would send a round down range potentially injuring a bystander. Also, firing ones weapon is considered using deadly force. Might as well make it count.

Would your position be different if you were not involved with policing and black ?

Make it count by shooting a fleeing suspect not a convicted criminal a suspect .

The police are not the judge or by any means the jury but to often it appears they are given that power .

If anyone thinks they should call the police in a dangerous situation they are sadly mistaken .

Why do you ask? Should it be?

I agree. It they haven't been called before it gets to this point most likely when they do arrive they will be investigating a fatality. Hopefully, the good guy is a firm believer in 2 handed sensible gun control. If not, he/she may be the bag of worm food.

Very hard to put one's self in the place of an opposing other.

Not really. One just has to be pragmatic.

Shooting in the leg is silly. Too hard and too cute. Two to the chest one to the head.

True.. true.. but I've heard that asked many times before... best scenario would be if someone snuck up behind them and tied their shoelaces together... Mellow
