I know, I know... Basic stuff. Just blame my lack on newbie status.

I'd like to get a good lighter, cutter and travel humidor. In exchange, I'll send a welded steel ashtray and, if necessary, some other goodies from my business. (Link below so you can see what I do)

I have stuck mostly with matches for the past year of smoking and have enjoyed them greatly. Last night, however, I had a particularly stubborn cigar and needed to borrow a lighter to get and keep the thing lit. It drove home the need for an appropriate cigar lighter, so here we are. I've used a few of the lighters around, all of them multi-jet torches, and they've seemed pretty good. My favorite so far is the Xikar Volta. The big thing here is making sure that the lighter is free of plastic and, to a lesser extent, paint: my workshop is a dangerous place to use plastic lighters and I don't want to scratch off the finish. Oh, and I hate "multi-action" lighters. Aside from opening a lid, I only want to push one button to light up. Lazy me :)

As for cutters, I'm not too well versed in the ways. I have a $5 thing that sucks immensely, so I tend to use one of the tabletop cutters when I'm at the local lounge. I go for a V on the cigars that let me, and the obligatory straight cut on figurados.

Not too knowledgeable about the travel cases, but they don't need my comments.

Let me know if you're interested!

Good luck with the lighter.. I've spent hundreds over the years on a half dozen or so that are all in a desk drawer needing repairs now... I should prolly put them in an envelope and see if they can be fixed but I'm not real good at getting to the post office... d'oh!

Dangit, if you weren't on the opposite corner of our great, but now banana republic thanks to the FBI Director's cowardice, I'd lay out my collection of lighters, cutters and cases in exchange for making a Honda CB750 frame I have into a rigid or trike rear end.

But if nobody else chimes in, I might have a case and some cutters I can send later.
