Holy ****, you guys aren't kidding.

Today saw my first trade package arrive... Magic. Maybe I'm too new, but I think Firemanmike might just be too awesome. Ten cigars and a fantastic sounding beer! I'll get a photo in the next day or so, but here's the run down...

Ghurka Titan
Buena Vista Edicion Limitada 2008
Ramon Bueso Genesis
CAO Black
A Flores Gran Reserva

Bomb! - Imperial Stout from a brewery called Prairie

I smoked the Padilla almost immediately and it was lovely. This guy rocks! Dude, your box will hopefully be as exciting as mine was!

that beer is a killer beer, highly sought after beer. if you keep it in the fridge let it warm up a little after you pour it, or slowly drink it and watch how the flavors change and enhance as it warms up. it has a little spice to it, but damn good. enjoy

The technical answer for that is complicated. It is illegal to ship alcoholic beverages via the US postal service. Shipping across many state boarders is problematic as well due to tax implications. There is also the liability issue of a minor getting said package and consuming said contents. While it is not Illegal to go via a service like UPS, they have some pretty strict rules around it.

The real life answer is, it happens all the time. DOn't tell the post office what you are shipping. Put some clanker in the box to disguise the sloshing sounds, and pack it well so bottles don't break and such. . .

good times.

Nice job firemanmike!

And tf the PO asks if there's anything fragile in the shipment or why the box "sloshes", I just tell them it's a water globe. Insure accordingly.

It's illegal to ship alcohol, but it is not illegal to not disclose information that is not asked. Like everyone else said, secure well, wrap it, and stuff the box.
