I don't care if you talk to yourself or not. Your asking Trump voters if they are ok with some press being excluded from briefings, well by your response to my post, Who **** cares what you think about Trump voters.
Also, if your getting some sort of validation because your not a noob on this site and somehow your above engaging with people who don't have a lot of posts on a cigar website, then that's pretty **** pathetic.

Lol...we got a live one!

Thanks Robert. I'm not calling out Trump voters. I understand why some may have voted for him. This is just not something I see as being aligned with the American way...not the Republican or Democrat or Libertarian way...the American way. Whatever beliefs we may hold, we are all still American and I would hope that no one would just blindly follow a person down a terrible path....whether they voted for him or not. I feel the same way about the Trump admin saying they will crack down on Marijuana.....even in states that have legalized. What happened to states rights?

And I'm relative noob by post count. I know you guys like to crack on each other. Maybe not a good idea with a noob. Just sayin'.

It's my modus operandi. I tried to pick up the mantle from pacman who got it from Slim. Weeds out the weak. Nothing personal. And I count noob status by how long they have been here...not post count.

I really am cool with banning all press from congressional, senatorial, and presidential meetings. I think with the current world situation as well as the current state of affairs in this country there needs to be a fair level of opacity so that lawmakers as well as the president can operate more efficiently with less stress.

The only other option would be for Trump to somehow pit the media against each other. I really want to see globalist media groups like CNN be torn apart by its own industry.

The free press is the only way we have to see what's happening in Washington.

Tell the truth and don't do evil, stupid sh*t in meetings and there is no stress. That applies to ALL politicians

The media can still make their opinions, they just shouldn't be allowed free reign and access to every governmental decision. It's a tactical catastrophe just like Bush allowing media during Afghanistan and Iraq. The media has unprecedented access to the entire core of government and can just the same use it against the government.

It's time we let our democratically elected representatives do what they came to do.

If the media wouldn't be filled with gobal elitists that want to see America burn, I would have no issue with the press. But the media is no longer influenced or controlled by local interests which is very alarming from a national defense perspective.

No Jade, I'm sick and tired of turning on the TV and seeing chit that doesn't even affect us happen in Europe, China, India, South America, Japan, et cetera. You can't even watch your local news station without being bombarded with tons of globalist propaganda. I don't watch TV or even read the new anymore unless I just happen to see it in passing. If I'm in Texas, I wanna hear about Texas, Boston, Mass, NOLA, LA. How many fūcks do I give about some ăsshat in Azerbaijan?

Turn off your tv and go outside. You have the choice to get your information anywhere you want. If you get info from sources that report facts rather than give opinion that will drive the marketplace towards those sources. But those sources must be unfettered and allowed to report those facts. Whether you or I like those facts or not. I used to laugh at all the idiocy I saw right wing minded people post on FB and even on here as "facts when it was quite obvious the "news" they were reporting was garbage. Now I see the left doing it. People need to use their heads and forget about even their OWN opinions. Opinions MUST be based in fact if we are to have any sense or have any hope of surviving as a country.

The worrysome thing is that the left is far more radicalized than the right and they advocate terrorism as a means to move forward with their agenda.

It's funny how the difference between Terrorism and Patriotism is only determined by your POV.

The press was well represented at yesterday's gaggle, so no worries there...

Couldn't help but notice that this story was consistently the top headline in yesterday's news and today i can't even find it.... given, i don't watch news, just read it, so maybe it's all over tv, i don't know...

Delta, I am in agreement with you on this. But the first amendment is not a blanket freedom of the press. It prohibits making a law that will impinge on the freedom of the press. The Trump administration can bar the press if I am reading the amendment correctly.

You're right Speyside, the First Amendment bars Congress from enacting any law restricting a free press, and they haven't, with some limited exceptions. Libel and slander laws are among the few exceptions, with truth being the defense.

The executive branch, the law enforcement and executive branch of government, may not enforce a non-existent law. Efforts to restrict a free press has not been looked upon favorably throughout our history. We shouldn't start down that path.

We, the people, should demand that the press, given this enormous right and freedom, report the truth.

Serious question.

No.

Serious answer.

Don't get me wrong. It's not the big deal that the liberals are crying about. This isn't Hitler reborn.
It just lacks priority.
A big boy would accept some harassment by the press.

I realize it's a statement rather than an edict.
But I wish he'd put down the twitter machine and grow up. Because I like his ideas on manufacturing and trade and putting Americans to work.

Oh, and the ***** grab thingy.
