Hello all. Rather new to the cigar game, I've been trying a lot of different brands, just wondered how it is that certain cigars always seem to be available here, for instance the Padilla artemis, dominus, cazadores.. all said to be discontinued in 2012. Is there really that much stock to where they're still available 4 years later ??Think

IIRC Rocky told us in about 2005 how he "found some forgotten aged tobacco in a warehouse" that he made into his Vintage 1990 and 1992 line. He has sold these cigars ever since so there must have been a whole bunch of it. Shame on you

Yeah, still figuring out who really makes what, and what my favorite type of smoke is, before I start buying higher end sticks. The actual padilla website doesn't show them as a product, I just find it hard to believe there's a abundant supply years later

They're made under contract, or more likely CI bought the rights and has them made for then. Padilla never to my knowledge had his own factories, so they just ship out to the lowest bidder and slap a band on them. Fairly common practice, doesn't necessarily mean the cigar is crap (though that is very often the case...) but the brand owner was likely involved only tangential.
