According to the USPS tracking service . . . this RAOK should be on the doorstep TODAY ! (11/22)
I didn't post the tracking # as to not spoil the surprise.

WTF? apparently I am the designated ankle grabber...

John, what is wrong with you? I have never done anything to you, I have truly just been quietly minding my own business and keeping my nose clean, and you went and walloped me for absolutely no reason whatsoevah!

A while back jespear sent a nice music cd raok, it actually made sense as we had been hanging out and talking music on the "whatcha listening to" thread. Our history consists of some pm's, a few phone calls, just nice, normal stuff that friendships are based on when people get to know each other like we do here.

Recently I posted a reply to Nick (hinzna) on his comeback thread and mentioned that I'd like his red sauce recipe. Nick said I'd be better served by finding an old cookbook from the 1960's written by Gene Leone, son of Mother Leone as in the famous restaurant. Nick's grandmother, his mother, and he all used this book. Seemingly safe, nothing to fret, harmless dialog.

But our man John must be an avid reader with evil intent! I worked a little late today, fairly stressed when I got home, when I saw The Box with jespear's return addy.
Inside the triple wrapped package was an original copy of Leon's Italian Cookbook (foreword by Dwight D. Eisenhower!) complete with intact book jacket and yellowed pages. I don't know if this was found on a search or if this came from John and Sally's kitchen, but I am really knocked out by this.

Oh, and a few hitchhikers, cuz jespear hates to leave a guy just happy, he needs you to be speechless...correct me for any mistakes because there are a couple that I've only heard about but John included:

JDN Antanio (magnum maybe)
Chateau Fuente Sungrown
Illusione Rothchildes
Macanudo Inspirado (orange)!
Cubanacan HR 1845 hermoso!!

Simply amazing, and I am truly humbled.

Thank you my brother, my friend. I'll call you soon.

Frankie,
As I stated in my accompanying note . . . When I saw that conversation between you and hinzna, I knew what I had to do, so I went out to good ole' eBay and found a copy of "Leone's Italian Cookbook". While browsing through it, to check the condition and all, I decided this was a pretty cool cookbook and went back to eBay and bought two more copies.
(One for me and my wife, and another for my daughter ).
Hope you enjoy yours.

As far as the cigars go, well . . . You can't send a RAOK without cigars, right ?
BTW, the AF is a Flor Fina 858 SG . . . a staple in my rotation.

Like I said . . . Just a little early holiday cheer.
Glad it arrived just in time to make a your schitty day a little bit better. (That's what RAOKs are SUPPOSED to do!)
ENJOY !

John

you are on the shelf above top shelf, John. If you were looking to surprise someone, you accomplished it. I was totally ambushed...and that is a great feeling!

Happy Turkey, buddy!

My bad . . . Now that I think about it, this RAOK was a "stubby" (robusto) RAOK, so the Fuente WAS NOT an 858.
It was, in fact, a Chateau SG.
