Guccifer 2.0 leaks Democratic Party emails ranging from the unsavory to the possibly criminal

Yet another new wave of hacked Democratic National Committee emails has come crashing down on the Clinton campaign, courtesy of WikiLeaks and the hacker Guccifer 2.0.

The new batch of emails appear to contain damaging revelations, including documents that suggest Democrats openly engaged in pay-to-play bargains, awarding important diplomatic positions to high-rolling donors.

As if a thriving pay-to-pay scheme weren’t bad enough, the latest DNC leaks also include a file which suggests possible insider trading and securities fraud.

Included in the leaks is a spreadsheet that appears to list a number of donors, the amounts of money they raised, and the ambassadorships and other positions they hold or held — and may have been awarded for their efforts.

These include Matthew Barzun, current ambassador to the United Kingdom, who raised over $3.5 million for the DNC; Frank Sanchez, former undersecretary of Commerce, who paid over $3.4 million; and Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe, who paid more than $2 million for an ambassadorship to the U.N.

Another DNC email leaked previously showed one staffer requesting “a very brief call to go over our process for handling donations from donors who have given us pay-to-play letters.” We now know that process ends with a cushy job in blatant violation of the Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act.

As if a thriving pay-to-pay scheme weren’t bad enough, the latest DNC leaks also include a file that suggests possible insider trading and securities fraud, according to independent journalist Matt Forney. A file called “CNBC” contains three files with information on various stocks and equities.

One of the spreadsheets lists earning predictions, which, according to a source quoted by Forney, are unusually accurate. “There is no way it’s just analysts’ opinions for that earnings spreadsheet, every friend he has on the Street would kill to be as accurate as they [the DNC] almost always were. This is insider trading for sure,” the source is quoted as saying.

Clinton staffer in charge of servers says he had no security clearance, could see classified messages
The information in the new batch of leaks goes from damaging to simply embarrassing. In one email, current DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda complains about the bad optics that occur when George Soros and the Democrats' union allies don't come through with providing their normal rent-a-protest crowds.

"Going forward, when our allies screw up and don't deliver bodies in time, we either send all our interns out there or we stay away from it … we don't want to own a bad picture," it reads.

After the latest round of DNC leaks, it will be hard for the Democratic Party to own anything else.

"There's one person who stands to benefit from these criminal acts, and that's Donald Trump" - Interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile

Seems like the American people would actually gain the most by getting a behind the scenes look at the deplorable state of both major political parties...

He supported Slick Willy, didn't he? I think Trump is whatever suits him at the moment.

I keep asking myself why a billionaire (or the millionaire politicians) wants a job that pays $400,000 a year. Think

Yup, typical democrats/lefties:

"Nothing to see here, if it wasn't for (insert whistleblower here) you would never hear or care about the information that was disclosed."

Ya gotta love how the liberal Dems twist these leaks and report the "Red Scare" instead of what the leaks actually show. CNN headlined the leak with "Red Scare" very early this morning before changing it. Reminds me of old 1950's propaganda. But what else can we expect from the news media??? Certainly not the truth.

Hillary Clinton wrote:

She would know! Especially since she was fired from the Watergate investigation due to her unethical practices. Only now it's against her, and the Clintons have "paid" everybody off, or they've died.

Does any one actually think Putin, or any foreign leader, is gong to take that woman seriously??? LMFAO!

Wouldn't the Watergate like activity be the deletion of 30000 emails that most likely contained information that the freedom of information act covered? Like the 47 minutes of tape ?

Watergate is small potatoes compared to what's going on today with Hillary and the DNC.

Difference is how the media portrays it.
Nixon got shamed into resigning.
Hillary is getting boosted in the polls.

Nothing to see here.
Move along.

Watergate was not and should never be considered small potatoes.

A stupid and unnecessary attempt to fix a presidential election? Big potatoes, Dude. Has nothing to do with which side did it.

Not "small potatoes" as a stand alone item.

"small potatoes" in comparison to what Hillary has been involved with.

And everyone else's who believed those two
Washington Post? Reporters stories( portrayed by Dustin Hoffman and "pretty boy floyd"...)

But,

it was pure fiction and hogwash....

Few people, and I MEAN very few people
Know that,
William Colby & Arlen Spector knew the real story.

ah, I see now.

I guess we are worlds apart on this. Remember, I did not nor plan to vote for her, so take this for what it's worth from one registered as "unenrolled" who opted for a democrat ballot in the primary in order to vote for Sanders...

clearly, the Dem party despised Bernie, wanted dearly to stop the threat to their 8 years of planning, much like the GOP establishment felt toward The Donald, only they came up with 17 candidates after 8 years.

There was definitely a lot of nasty talk and ill wishes aimed at this non-Democrat by "party first" zealots, some of whom even had clout. Rotten stuff was suggested...including playing the "Jew Card" in Kentucky and other states just before their primaries and caucuses...but it was not put into play.

out of some several thousand (was it 20,000?) emails, most of the sensationalism centers around something like less than a dozen, and some of those are responses to suspected "evidence".

Also bear in mind, virtually all of the incriminating correspondences in the conspiracy theories took place after Bernie was pretty much mathematical eliminated, but he wouldn't drop out, further infuriating the Party Nazis.

By that time, he needed to win all of the remaining primaries (7 or 8?) which he did not.

He won a majority of caucuses, was slaughtered in primaries, this equals no shot. He was slaughtered in minority voting, and lost all states with over 10% minority voters...you do the math.

Did I mention I voted for him.

Now Nixon on the other hand...

Frank I hate to say it but if you didn't see the corruption up front it wasn't reported on . I was at the Nevada state Democratic convention. It was a setup from the start voting before the officials tart of the meeting ect ect. I expected the news to erupt there was barely a whimper .

I have no doubts corruption is rampant, perhaps I was just following Bernie and ignored The Hill...but I still would never compare it to Watergate.

The burglary at the Watergate Hotel was to tap phones and steal "top secret" documents from the DNC.
Right?

Well, in 2016 the DNC is "rigging the election" and Hillary's private server has served up "top secret" (ie. Classified) documents for Trump's Russian comrades on a silver platter.

Nixon lied.
he got caught lying.
he deserved to be forced out of office.

I just wish the same were true today for those caught screwing the pooch.
But it isn't.

Frank, you know me.
I was playing little league when Watergate hit.
I only knew about Nixon from Archie Bunker.
If I'm missing something I'm glad to hear it.
But most people admit that Nixon's biggest mistake was the cover up.
