Looking for 10 team minimum (12 max). Ill commish the league on yahoo with expanded rosters (if 10 teams), partial ppr and potentially some small bonuses for benchmark yards totals, etc.

ante will be money (~$25 sent to me with a payout of 60% for 1st, 30% for 2nd and 10% for 3rd) or cigars (ante of five $5-$7 sticks sent directly to winners from losers at the end) or a combination of the two.

draft has to be completed by next thursday so im planning next tuesday at 8

this is my bump in the original thread: http://www.cigarbid.com/...sy-football#post4158282

tuesday 8pm - updated above

doeshin - not sure how much trade rep you have so if the ante is decided to be cigars it would likely be best if you send them to me in the beginning and then i send them on to the winner (will send back to you plus interest if you are the winner).

so while we are waiting for one more lets decide on a buy in (assuming 10 teams, currently 1 team short)

1: $25/team with payouts being 60%, 30%, 10% ($150, $75, $25)

2: $5-$8/stick fiver with payouts being 20 sticks for 1st, 10 sticks for 2nd and a fiver for third

3: some combination of the above

As far as payment, I cancelled my paypal account when they got political (leaving north carolina to make a statement despite doing ample business in every middle east country) so we will have to think of another payment method if it is cash (unless another b/sotl wants to hold the loot).

I am down for either or the $25 or a 5er ante and if it goes the $ way I have paypal that we could use to make life easier for the league.

I'm with Shaun. Either way is fine with me.

Just to stir the pot... might consider a nice box of something for the winner and 2nd place getting money back...

yea im open for whatever
id say i lean towards cigars just because most of my other leagues are money

if we go money shaun why dont you handle it if it is easier for everyone

we still need at least one more dude/chick to round out the list

seems like everyone is signed up except for bsadler as of when i last checked

id also lean more towards smokes, got more cash leagues and opening a mystery box of sticks is more fun then a paypal transfer

I really don't have the time to give it the consideration it needs, but if its for cigars and you absolutely can't find a 10th, then I'll play. I can't let this league go the way of the "official league" Playing for nothing then completely gone. . .

looks like ante is leaning towards smokes

I'm still hoping one more signs up so illinichaser has to play ram27bat

if it remains at 10 i am going to amend rosters to QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, K, DST because there will be so many quality guys on everyones roster

this is not a dictatorship so if there are objections to that change let me know Beer

Good with smokes for ante. And 10 team means more quality so more starting spots sounds good. Good luck everyone and once again thanks gummy for setting it up.

alright so last bump looking for an 11th (thereby forcing illini to join and make 12)

will otherwise lock the teams tomorrow evening and it looks like its going to be smokes (at least an upper mid fiver but cbid "fivers" are allowed)

may be a good idea for doeshin to send his ante to me unless the other dudes somehow know him and vouch for him

so third place is still up for grabs
was a fun year

when the dust settles we will plan to follow this (from the message board on site):

Quote:
So correct me if I am wrong, but we will all send $25 ASAP via check or paypal. That $250 will be used to buy the winner a nice box of CCs.

The bottom 7 players will also send 6 $5-$7+ (or more if desired) cigars to be divided between the 2nd place finisher (5 guys x6 cigars = 30 cigars) and 3rd place finished (2 guys x6 cigars = 12 cigars).

Doeshin will send me his 6 or whatever ante for safe keeping. If he wins I will return it plus some interest.

Do I have that correct?

so it looks like the bottom of the barrel folks (myself included) will be sending to blue line and either jrc or letsrock

I am sorry bsadler. after the draft i fully didn't expect this outcome. sorry fellas for being a noob and ending up here. Next year, Unless we have an ELE, I will handle the logistics and commissioning of this league and the work that is involved with it.

This was one of the most competitive leagues i have ever played in. Hopefully next year will be just as competitive and i will get to know everyone here a little bit better.

If anyone is in the DC area and is interested in getting together for a herf, (I know Pro is at Bristow Manor) at a place like Shelly's Back Room, then I am all for it.

I will post hellos from time to time... Take care! and GO SKINS!!! (I hope that doesn't turn Pro off on herfing. Altho they owned us this year)...

Invite him to a smoke lounge, then say you forgot to bring cigars and left your wallet at home. He's got plenty of money and a third of all legit Cubans in the free world. .

Not sure i ever done an intro. here is a quickie.

Names is Thaddeus (Ted)
Live in MD, work in DC.

I only started getting really into cigars late 14' and someone mentioned this devil site and the rest is history.

don't have a lot of trade cred since 99% of my cigars are from cbid and from what i seen, i figured not many will be interested in a cbid quickie winnings.

i used to be on dojo but not no more.

I smoke mostly $5 range cigars and never had a CC.

I check the forums often so if i recognise anyone that was in our league posting something, i will try to respond if i have anything interesting to say, if not, i think it best to stay quiet.

It was nice to have a chance to participate in this league and put a FF team to some of you prolific posters on here.

And i am sure this might not be the right forum to have done so, but oh well. it's done.

Take care and till next year!
