Gents,
I have 500 to 600 cigars here in sunny Tucson Arizona.
I am looking to trade ALL of them for a guitar. USA Strat
or a USA Gibson Les Paul Studio. Seriously. Please contact me
via PM if you are interested in such a trade, I will give you details about what
sticks I have and kinda how many. They have been collected
over the past couple of years and ALWAYS stored and
cared for properly.
peace,

Sorry all I got is a Squire Strat made to look like the SRV Strat, and it was probably made in Korea. I could check tho, haven't played it in probably 6-9 months. Don't play that often, should say I "play at guitars" more than play them, plus play bass a little and my homemade cigar box guitars.

Good luck, considering unless you have a bunch of dog rockets that would be a pretty good trade. I haven't priced a US Strat lately but they aren't "unobtanium" expensive, are they?

BTW you might want to get in on the Noob trade or the PIBs and establish a rep with one of the FOGs, and if you are serious about getting rid of all your cigars, maybe a package to OpFTH to establish some cred before someone works out a $1000-$1500 swap with you.

Bur,
Not sure what PIB is or FOG and OpFTH? I am not a lurker on the discussion boards
and don't really know any of the jargon. I know what noob means.....
Anyhow, for my reasons I am letting go of ALL my Cigars and I have a substantial collection
of quality sticks and some daily smokers too. I will post up a synopsis of what I got
in the humidors and containers. Not asking you to go out of your process, I am hoping
to find a cigar lover in Tucson or PHX to trade with. Probably a couple grand worth
of cigars and humidors, etc. and I am going to let go of it all.
peace,
chris d

The PIB trades are where someone lists their "wants", one of us picks up some/all (depending on the thread) and then either lists their wants or gifts their turn to someone else. One is medium price point cigars, one is fairly elitist/top-shelf stuff.

FOG-F'ing old guy. The folks around here with nearly pre-embargo joined dates and a gazillion posts. Some may or may not have a mythical membership level rumored to be named after precious metals. But the first rule of CBid is to deny there are memberships, discount coupons or matches!

OpFTH is Operation From the Heart, our pet charity among all our other charities we support individually. While OpFTH sends lots of stuff to our servicemembers overseas besides cigars and accessories, we make sure they have some cigars to throw in every box and help with shipping cost. Each July 4th there is a big fundraiser and every so often we bomb the organizers with cigars from Gurkha's up to again, elitist/topshelf stuff. I'd bet the right person on here with a guitar would only take a portion of what it's worth from you (some folks here have 1000s of cigars, maybe 10,000s) and say "Send the rest to Da General."

thanks for explanations.
Look for list later, I am a firm believer in giving away
cigars/stuff, have kept some of my bro's in cigars
for the last 2 years here in TUC.

I'd like to help you out, but I only have one guitar, a baby Taylor. It's been gathering dust for about 10 years.
Was going to teach myself to play, but I never did feel the desire to play like I did with the mandolin.

Yeah, but you have the one and only "Bur's Cigar Box Mando-gitty"! Does it even sound like a mandolin?

OK, so I have 718 cigars listed below,
and my goal is to trade em for either
a USA Stratocaster, a Gibson USA Les Paul Studio,
or a Guitar Center Gift Card to the tune of $800

I might entertain trade offers of other USA guitars.

Why $800? That is the cost of a used USA guitar as described
above. Of the cigars below, 350 are decent name
brand handmades, the rest your opinion may vary.
I tried to describe as best I can, couple of short filler
wonders and some great cheapies in here. Please
study details on your own, I may have made
a mistake or two here or there on size or whatever;
but the Brand/name and qty's are accurate.

Please contact me via PM and I will discuss details
as required, these have all been kept in humidors
or coolerdors or tupperdors or what have you at
65 to 69 and have been purchased between 7/2014
and 7/2016 from CI, Cigarbid or Cigar.com
I am in Tucson AZ, looking for someone in TUC or PHX
maybe?

at average cost of $1.12 can ya beat it?
thanks! Chris D

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt (which is waaaaay more than most around here; I just happen to be in a good mood right now) you're probably an honest and trustworthy soul. But, off what banana boat did you fall off to think that someone would be interested in trading a nice guitar valued at perhaps double what you value your smokes, which unless they decide to play Billy Joe Armstrong, will last forever for a box full of mostly less than memorable cigars that will at some point become either dust or ash???

Abuse???

Do the letters F O mean anything???

Forgive me, two things puzzle me.
Cigars are for smoking, guitars are for playing.
So, the twain shall never meet? I had two brothers offer
Guitars in trade so I assume this is an acceptable transaction.

Is this not an exercise in free trade?
Why are brothers with no intention of trading banging on me?
I am pretty sure of the value of the cigars, I bought them. If not
Interested, fine; leave me to my business. We all love cigars
And I love guitars. What am I missing here?
Love love,
Chris d

1. YES!!!! This is a trade forum!!!!

Congratulations!!! you can read.

2. YES!!!! Many of us are rude azzholes.. me too sometimes... but my original comment wasn't that, I wished you good luck in dumping your dog turds!!! How is that rude?

3. YES!!!! You can get abused elsewhere!!! But why would you want to? There's plenty here that will troll you for your pile of dog rockets that's composed of at least 30% Gurks and random 2nds.

4. wtf?

LMFAO, that's what I'm asking WTF!!!!! and WTF this guy think he is?!?!?!

Oh... p.s. FO :)
