I now have a few moments spare so that I can do justice to the pain inflicted upon my person and residence recently. You folks continue to humble me with your generosity and crack me up with your humor. I tried leaving the state to avoid the insanity, but it didn't help. Y'all are crazy!

The first hit landed right as we were leaving. While part of it was a trade, Stinger88 decided to combine his end with a b-day bomb.
Birthday Card
Camacho Liberty '09
LFD Airbender
Viaje 50/50
Tat W
LFD Double Ligero with long pigtail
Tat TAA 2015
LP UF-13
La Palina Gold Label
H. Upmann Magnum 46
DPG Blue from 2006
ACC 15th Anni SR
5 Ramon Allones each wrapped with a special wallet candela wrapper that was way more than we agreed to in our trade which was supposed to be sticks for sticks and the above smokes were enough for the trade and a b-day hit.

But David wasn't done yet. Oh no, he included some really cool swag as well:
USAF E-3 emblem mug
Pop's Route 66 Arcadia OK mug
And a USAF coin with his LTC rank

Thank you, Sir!

Delta1 pounded us with smokes, jerky and coffee:
Miami El Oso
LP UF-13
LP Dirty Rat
Cain Daytona Lancero
Padron Anny '64 Natural & Maddy
RA EL 2011
Avo Heritage Lancero

Pac Gold Beef Jerky x4 (that jerky is like crack!)
Konabox Coffee Growers Club Releases for April & May in Whole Bean Full City Roast

Thank you, Al, we have already gobbled up the jerky and the coffee was delicious. The smokes shall meet a fiery end soon!

The next box had a Maine return addy. Knowing it was from Mandobro and Mandoboss, we thought we were adequately prepared. Sadly, we neglected to allow for enough time for side-splitting laughter and hilarity the package induced.
A sealed box of Foundry Chillin' Moose Coronas
2 Black Sheep Sphere ice Molds (in use already)
K Hansotia Knife that was supposed to be safe for me to use without injury thus not violating my Grumpie-imposed sharp object ban. Naturally, I had to test the safety features. Ouch! Good thing we have steri-strips.
A Moosehead hat that I am required to wear at the next Mistersnippi Herf. I admit that I have some reservations about this. If the residents of MS have issues differentiating between a beaver and a raccoon, how can we expect them to not get confused by a moose?
And then some bling. Not just any bling. Earrings. We were admiring the natural stone look and the earth tone color, but were unable to determine exactly what kind of stone they were. During the identification process, it dawned on us that they were rather light to be made of stone. Hmmm…. What could they be made of? So light. Such color. Oh wait, they aren't? Oh yeah, they are shellacked moose poop! LOL

So yeah, we were laughing so hard we were crying once we figured that out! Thank you to Clan Mando for that whomping and hilarity!

Next up was a spud bomb clearly launched from a howitzer-sized potato gun in Boise ID. We were able to put the clues together and determine it was from our diminutive verdant amphibian pal, lilgreenfrog. Once again we were in stitches laughing. Spud bomb indeed:
Happy Birthday Sock Monkey in B-day Mug
Idaho Collector Spoon
Lovely Picture Postcard
Boise State T-shirt
Darth Tater Patch
Idaho Moose Poop Mints (who knew that moose poop was so popular in so many states?)
2 Idaho Spud Candybars
A bag of Idaho Spud Bites
A bag of Idaho Spud Burnt Peanuts
Idaho Candy Co Bite-size Butter Toffee
Bad Frog Bottle Cap Fishing Lure
And Haribo Gummi Green Frogs (see how we cleverly used this clue to deduce the sender?)

Thank you, Froggy! Our grandkids have been happily consuming your gummy likeness while the grownups are eating the spud goodies. I will proudly wear the BS shirt!

And then we have the attack direct from the Tiger's Lair. Blu and Lyn smacked me hard cajun-style:
River Road Whole Bean Creole Med-Dark Roast Coffee
New Orleans Roast Coffee with Chickory
New Orleans Dark Roast Coffee
Zatarain's Spicy Jambalaya
Zatarain's Red Bean Seasoning Mix
Zatarain's White Bean Seasoning Mix
Magic Swamp Dust Fire Dept. Blend Seasoning
La Blanc Cajun Bar-B-Que Rub
2 Bags Pop's Golden Gems Louisiana Dried Shrimp
Afterglow Bottle Wicks for Making Bottle Candles

And if that all wasn't enough, check out the rest of the contents of the box:
Lyn's Insane Beading Bomb with a beautiful selection of beads, charms and pendants for future beading projects
And the jaw-dropping Fuente Opus 6th 20th Anniversary Seeds of Hope Sampler. The one with the books, really cool packaging, and 6 Opus Cigars.

Whoa! Good smoking, eating and beading will be happening here! Thank you, Jeff and Lyn!

So thank you all for the fun birthday wishes and bombs. I had a great time on the trip and then to come home to all this just blew me away!

I'm kinda worried about the hat, too. We'll just have to make sure Ray's hands a full and he's sitting down when you break it out. Happy Birthday.

Kaboooooom! Bomb

And now we're all like: Bombed

gae9jang2j's box from Vietnam landed yesterday. Lots of sloshing noises coming from inside. Some rattling as well. At first it seemed quite innocent when we opened the box. It was a coffee and water bomb. Good thing I read the card before going any further along, 'Cuz we were scratching our heads over why John would send water all that distance.

That ain't water! It's really super smooth Vietnamese Rice Wine. 6 bottles of it. Oh wow! We drank some last night. Definitely a change of pace from whiskey and even different from any sake we have had.

And then to kick start our hungover mornings, 6 bags of Vietnamese WB coffee.

To help the coffee process, two metal individual coffee filters that we will try out tomorrow morning. A bit complicated for my simple mind, but grumpie will sort it all out for sure. There are directions with pictures so we should be good even if we are doing assembly pre-coffee.

John finishes things off with a lovely 5'er of Four Kicks which we have never had and have wanted to try. We will fire them up after they have had some time to recover from the jet lag.

Thank you, John! What a lovely and refreshing (in more than one way) surprise belated birthday smack down! We will honor your request on return fire. For now. And you have an open invitation to Moose Manor. If you are able to come, we will schedule a herf. It would be an honor to meet you.

love,

boiler and grumpie
