Being that I will be going to the MLB Home Run Derby (and All-Star game) this year, what better way to make it even more fun then by betting on it.

There are 8 total participants in the HR Derby (yet to be announced)

The first 7 to reply here that they are in will be in the pool along with me. The buy in is a CBID friendly fiver for a total of 40 smokes.

Once the participants are announced I will pull the names out of a hat and assign them to the 8 of us.

The person with the winner will get 30 smokes and the runner up will get 10 smokes.


OK so who is in???


If we get enough interest we can have multiple pools run at the same time.

Jeremy is correct and I vouch for the noob as well. I have played poker like 6-7 times now and have not finished outside of the bottom 3 and this guy wins it all his 1st freaking time Not talking Not talking Not talking

I missed a chance to meet Roger Clemens today. He played my course today but my assistant and I were playing at the TPC Avenel in an Oakley event. My staff said he was very nice to them. Posed for pictures and stuff.

Here we go Group 1.....I will do the same if we get multiple groups. I made two picks. I put the cbid handles in 1 pile and the HR Derby participants in another pile and picked one from each pile for the results....here they are.....

and yes I really cut up strips of paper!!!!

So, when Alvarez wins, would I just collect 25 cigars from five losers or would I send a fiver to second place and he sends me a fiver. This would make it a legit 30 for first and 10 for second. Otherwise, 1st would 'get' 25 and second place would get a fiver.

Sometimes it is fun being the a$$.
