The Darkness - Cannonball (Long Version)

The new album has some good stuff...IMHO...they waited WAAAAY too long to put something together.

At this point...I'm just glad they're STILL together!

^ love me some SRV.

There' s a little place in Uptown New Orleans called Tipintina's. One of the very best live music clubs anywhere. Anyway when I was single and living in New Orleans back in '85-'88 We used to go there every now and then Though relatively small, they always had hot acts playing there. One time during JazzFest SRV showed up. He wasn't on the schedule. He just walked in, went up on stage and started playing. Saw Clarence Clemens come in another time. Same deal, during JazzFest, unscheduled.

Haven't been in at least 25 years. I really need to go back.

^ so true I think twice about putting off things I really want to do. You never know when the ride may end. I had an opportunity to see Pink Floyd in concert some tears back. I don't recall why I didn't. Need I say more?

Good reason! I imagine holding all of those egos in check was a real chore.

LOVE me some DLR....in all the incarnations the band took. Never figured why corporate radio ditched playing Roth when he was kicking out much better music than his former bandmates ever did!

I've only met Sheehan once but I've hun out with Stew Hamm a couple of times and Bryan Beller played my daughter's birthday party a couple of years ago and has had beers at my house. He and his wife even have some of my wife's artwork.

Still haven't met Steve, just his bass players. Weird too as I'm a guitar player.

Oh, and I also saw the eat em and smile tour. It was pretty awesome. :)
