The one and only damn shame with GnR was their choice of lead singer. Axle has always been and remains a white trash douche with one of the most unlistenable voices ever, IMO. I always wonder what kind of great stuff they could have done with a decent singer...probably something like Velvet Revolver who are an infinitely better band regardless of commercial success comparisons to GnR. Again, JMHO.

It's a shame GnR is in the HOF and Rush is not!

Must be the same damn people that do the cigar ratings in CA.

NO ****!

http://www1.rollingstone.com/hearitnow/player/rush.html

Listen to the bass in this...it's got the whole Bytor and Lakeside Park riffs in it...Lifeson has the Cygnus sound back and Geddy isn't shreiking like a little girl that broke a nail. Peart...really? There's nothing bad to say about the guy!

Enjoy!

"Nashville Blues" from the 1972 album Will the Circle Be Unbroken by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band & a whole host of bluegrass greats.

Earl Scruggs just blows me away on this song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8mUyLD8aV4

The whole album is great & the 1989 Volume Two album is awesome, too.
