Hey aberdeen - enjoy!

I'm not sure who it is, but I always see some exclaim 'al gore sucks' in the comments section. why? can't we all just be friends? didn't he invent the internet? we should be thankful!

I am thinking if Gore becomes president, I may have to find a new country to move to, a few years of this clown and this country could be back to horse and buggy. This guy lies more and is more deceiving than even Clinton, but he passes off more easily with this intellectual aire that he tries to pretend to have. You can be the bank that Gore will effect our cigar smokings in one way or the other, and he new age voodoo science when it comes to the myth of global warming is beyond belief. I am only scratching the surface, but don't want to spend the night here.

Geez...did you step in it... First, one should not FEEL when it comes to the political arena. He or she should KNOW. Know the facts and you'll pick the person who represents what's best for our country. As for Al "Internet" Gore....god help us. Speaking of lost causes: The Million Mom March (organized by the democrats)was a ploy for votes and nothing more. These women, who were used as pawns, should stick to subjects that they are highly qualified to represent...like parenting. That's a march everyone can support.

More Guns means less crime. Check the FACTS!

Long ashes to all.

#1 I don't need someone to tell me I can't smoke, dip or chew tobacco. I do all three.

#2 as far as guns and gun laws. how many children die in swimming pools. how many die in cars. why not take all the swimming pools and cars. the reason for wanting the guns away from us is so we can't defend ourselves.

I am 35 years old. my parent taught me how to act and how to live. I don't need a parent anymore. not even Gore. I am raised and have raised children. without help from the government. they need to do their job and leave the rest of us alone to live our lives.

This Million Mom March was little more than a huge gathering of group therapy, it made them feel good. It was filled with emotion and passion, and little regard for the facts. I am not a gun toting type myself and I have studied the issue from both sides, and it becomes pretty obvious that the anti gun type's arguments are filled with this emotion and passion, not to mention being coy and deceptive. (for one this business about 13 kids killed every day buy guns rubbish) Why can't they just be honest and come right out and say they want a ban on guns? Instead they twist facts, create stats out of who knows where, and many being just plain dishonest. Many of these moms probably have the best of intentions, but I have come to the point where I just don't believe anything when it comes out of the mouths of these zealots like Clinton or other high profile anti gunners. On the gun rights side, there is also a fringe that is why out in left field, but otherwise their arguements are founded on logic and clear thinking, like the writings of Yale professor Lott. Violent crime in this country has been dropping, despite Columbine, our schools area about the safest place on this planet to be. But they way anti gunners talk crime is out of control. The anti gun types want more and more laws, (did anyone at this march call on Clinton to enforce the laws in place already?) which only will punish the law abiding, until they reach their goal, or a Stalin comes along for the final coup. Here in Colorado they want to close this so called gun show loophole. To many this seems like a feel good thing to do, but actually is very dangerous for it would in effect make all private gun transactions, even if you want to give a gun to your brother or sell a gun to a neighbor, illegal unless a background check is used. In effect it would ban all private gun transactions, again, this punishes only the good law abiding citizens. There are 300 million guns in circulation in this country, criminals will always be able to get them.

Being from TN, I have had the privalige of dealing with the JACKASS for years. I was thrilled when he became VP, it got him out of the state for the most part. I loathe the thought of him becoming our "commander in chief." I would not put it past the stiff, tree huging nerd to try to get the EPA involved in our time of relaxation. Smoke just might be depleating the .... A bumper sticker I saw here in nashville expresses my feeling very well. "Guck Fore"

ABERDEEN FOR PRESIDENT!!! Man, I like the way you think! I could not have said it better myself.

This is the year to get off our butts (pun intended) and into the voting booth. If we want to continue to enjoy those freedoms guarenteed by our constitution and win back those that have been compromised like hunting, competitive pistol shooting, or cigar smoking (smoking in general), then we've got to get the right people in office.....and the right people are those that respect our individual freedoms and stay out of our bedrooms, gun safes, and libraries.

Well, someone has to do it. Let me open by saying I didn't vote for Clinton (or Dole, or Bush), won't vote for Gore or that right wing pawn with no ideas of his own the other Bush. I also own quite a few guns. Hunt routinely.

The Republicans are no better than the Democrats. They are on the corporate payroll and will do WHATEVER it takes to get corporate dollars. Both parties are pissing away American democracy, intentionally written with a small 'd'. These "leaders" are being bribed for their votes and have no interest in individual rights if it doesn't suit their political needs. This is supposedly a free country. When I travelled overseas to some of the poorer, yet freer, nations I was astounded to return home and learn how 'free' we actually are (not). Our 'freedom' is bought and paid for by transnational corporations through our corrupt political system. Capital is free to move about the world, but labor is not. Where is the justice in that? Open Communist China to free trade, but keep Communist Cuba shut down. Where's the logic? Corporate 'welfare' is bought and paid for by our political process. No, in the big picture, there is really little difference between the two parties. And both parties serve the wealthy elite, not the average American. Gore, like his opponent Bush, is full of crap. Both on the corporate take.
