Scott- thanks for the reminder, you need some "new baby" type gifts.

I however am full. If someone wants to send cigars, send them to the troops.

Can someone give me scott's addy?LOL

All this talk of mooching cigars and such got me thinking. We hadn't seen this in a while. .

Herfing

and before anyone gets any ideas. I am NOT LOW! This is not a subtle hint. This is not a prompt. This is not an excuse. This is amusing, and show's some history on the subject.

NO Contest........

NO Special event or occasion......

NO Trade......

NO Noob.....

Just looking for any of you B/SOTL who desires to do so send me (Ram) a fiver of PREMIUM CIGARS. ( minimum of a fiver please.)

If you plan on sending me any Cuban Cigars please make sure they are aged and ready to smoke, I don't want to wait years to smoke. ( On Cubans would prefer Box Code April 05 or prior too...)

Please remember ONLY Premium Cigars, if your not sure what is considered premiums, please feel free to ask me for advise.

Note: Please LMK if you want me to post a picture of what you send off to me.

In return I send you " ABSOLUTELY NOTHING", but a " BIG THANK YOU " for helping me fill my humidors.

Thanks all in advance for your wonderful generosity.

" Bless your little giving hearts " ~

Ram

At least I usually look for mediocre, and I did not beg for the 858's. Herfing

I am afraid to smoke an 858. If I like it, I will loose my mediocre taste....oooh! And what will happen if the crew knows there are better gars? Anxious

I would be afraid to ask for premium for myself.

My advice is if you have not had a premium, you never know what you are missing, and you can be happier with less.

Mutwats rule....ok they are ok....but I am in so much trouble when I have a Fuente, my Cheap days are over. LOL

I'd be embarrassed to ask for a premium without offering something in return.

I only smoke premium cigars myself. I don't smoke very many, but I chose to smoke top of the line when I do smoke. There's always a trade off to be made. I find burn issues, sour taste, plugging, and other issues with cheap cigars to be quite annoying. If its not enjoyable, then why bother?

Like what you smoke, and smoke what you like. . .

And for the record, I have never asked for free cigars in all the time I've been here. Have I experienced the generosity of the BOTL? Absolutely!!!! But, it wasn't because I sought it out. I was raised you should always give more than you receive, and it seems many of the brothers on here were taught the same thing.

. This thread was done in jest, anyone reading the original post should be able to see though it clearly.

Kinda the way I was raised as well.

I don't like asking people for things without offering something in return. I have received a few packages from time to time that I haven't posted about. It's not that I'm not appreciative. I make it a point to send them a nice thank-you note and make a note that return fire is due.

To me RAOK's are private things between the sender and the receiver. If the sender wants it known, then I seems to me it's that person's prerogative to share.
