90's this week. Florida is in "preheat" mode. d'oh!

96 here last week and again next week (I think). Only issue here is when the breeze will stop- usually around 2nd to 3rd week of June. Then it's disgustingly hot and humid before 10am.

If you can make the switch, the 22" is the best option. I had the 22, went to 18 and went back to 22 because I missed the extra room. 18" is hard to fit a full brisket.

18 is perfect for me (and it was in stock). I don’t even use the second rack that much. On my old smoker I would often take a rack of ribs and half them across two racks.

My Weber kettle is a 22.

I have 3 18's. The 22's would be nice but I haven't truly found it necessary. I can teepee 3 pork butts on each rack and briskets under 20lbs fit. Did a 24 pounder last weekend, did trim quite a bit off to fit but that was intentional so I could use it to make ground beef.

You'll love the WSM

I did go look at a Traeger 675 pro. 125 lbs and a lot of more money. If I got it I would have to start a “I got a Traeger and I’m Loving It” thread. I didn’t want to be one of those guys.

Hey, was I supposed to get Ram’s approval? Maybe I’ll go ask on that 500 server error thread.

That’s the one my brother bought 3 years ago. He used it several times per week and a couple months ago something went wrong with an electric component and it will cost a lot to replace and pain in the butt to remove and replace, according to him anyway. I don’t know what he replaced it with. I know he still likes the big green egg.

I dont think bbq off a pellet grill is as good as a barrel or offset. Need continuous airflow for best results, not tight temp control.

I’ve got a cheap barrel grill with a smoke box on the side. I have no complaints. Easy peasy.

Coffeed up, dog walked and fed. Wife made oxtail soup yesterday. I know what I'm having today... leftovers of that. Fabulous.

Thus the sunroom conversion and AC unit out there. Need a place to smoke in peace and not sweat my nards off. It's not going to be an ice box, but it'll definitely be bearable compared to the garage.

I got a screen porch and a strong ceiling fan. I could always pull out the swamp cooler if needed but it might be too humid to help.

Hot as hell outside at 97F; 39% RH; and 8+ MPH hot breeze. Like a convection oven.

Went to Costco Yesterday for optometry appointment and again this morning for new bifocals and reading glasses.

Pressure water came to clean the pool deck as its time to start using the pool again.

Phone has benn dropping calls all the time. Took it to both Apple and ATT today and they could not find any problem. Switched out my SIM card hoping it could help, but it didn't. Anthony suggested it may be the antenna so I am going back to Apple in a little bit.

Both kids+1 are coming home for Mothers' Day. Dinner out Saturday night with my mother and then whatever my wife wants to do on Sunday. Looking forward to A great weekend!

I don't smoke out doors during the summer. But, it is just too damn hot for May. Too hot already...

I grew up with only a swamp cooler in one window of our house in Phoenix. They work well when the RH is low but once it gets near 50% ... no bueno.

Speaking of pork butts, the price of store bought (Chinese) char siu is getting ridiculous so wife said to buy a p.b. and she’d make some again. But I laughed and said we’d probably give away most of it and negate any savings. She agreed but said to get one anyway.

It's 73 degrees and the sun ain't even fully up yet. Whooooooo.

New windshield for the truck today. Might rain, so momma need to vacate the garage. My truck doesn't fit, but I can pull it in far enough to get the safelite guy outa the rain if it does start coming down. Get him outa the sun if not.

Coffeed up... time to walk the pupperoni...
