Will Riki Rachtman be hosting this 500?
6. Author: HockeyDadDate: Sun, 5/19/2024, 5:00PM EST
If I won I might name it “How Many People Does John Wick Kill Per Movie 500”

Absolutely! SiriusXM has Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman and Alan Hunter for the 80's channels... not sure why they didn't recruit Rachtman for Ozzy's Boneyard and Hair Nation. lol

Mowed this evening.

It had only been 6 days since the last mow, but this is monsoon season.

I'll be mowing every 5 to 7 days until around the end of July.

I miss that show. I do DVR Metal Mayhem though which is basically just reruns of headbangers ball without the filler.

My choice would be "Indians and Apples 500"

Congrats on the 500 Macs

Keeping in the theme... In the last 50 yrs who is (was) the best drummer/percussionist in your opinion... I propose three choices and a write in vote

- Neil Peart (Rush)
- John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
- Keith Moon (The Who).
- None of the above.

My vote, is hands down (drum roll)... Neil Peart.

Not only did he master the drums and percussion but he also wrote most of the music and lyrics for Rush.

^Any of those three would work.

True…

I’d throw Carl Palmer in there….
18. Author: MACSDate: Sun, 5/19/2024, 7:29PM EST
Jeff Porcaro, too... he has another thing in common with the 3 listed... he dead.
19. Author: MidnightToker( • )( • )Date: Sun, 5/19/2024, 8:02PM EST
Rick Allen deserves a mention because he only has one arm.
20. Author: BuckyB93Date: Sun, 5/19/2024, 8:56PM EST
Neil Peart was a big fan of another hall of fame drummer Buddy Rich.

Tribute to Buddy Rich.

I'm not saying better than current choices or anything, but from a headbanging, intelligent percussion perspective, Danny Carey with Tool kicks some azz

In keeping with the headbanging theme, Joey Jordison was absolutely unmatched.

and Grohl ain't to shabby either

John Tempesta

His work with Testament and White Zombie was earth shattering.
But of course you knew that.
_______

Oh yeah,
is this the new 500???

Abso-freakin-lutely. Many of their tunes I just try to listen to what he's doing. He's crazy good.

Mornin' dudes... coffeed up. Not sure about the 3 mile puppy dog walk. Drizzly out there.

Will have to get it in sometime today, along with a 30 minute go on the treadmill and trap bar deadlifts.

Elbow and shoulder soreness. Giving the gym a rest for a bit, as far as specific muscle groups. Deadlifts target everything but don't put too much stress on the elbow or shoulder.

Finally got around to replacing my garbage disposal. 1/3 hp frigidaire piece of crap for a 1/2 hp insinkerator. Got it home and realized the bastards sell the power cord separately... so I had to be an electrician and a plumber today.

Anywho... it's a job I've done a few times in 22 years at the last place, so it wasn't difficult.

Got the dog walk, treadmill and deadlifts in there, too. Not sure what a good deadlift weight is for a guy my age/size... but I did 218 pounds for 3 sets of 10. That's 40 pounds more than I weigh.

Sat down in the garage with a cigar. Smoke didn't keep the skeeters at bay. Got mobbed by mosquitoes. Thankfully the cigar sucked and I was able to retreat back into the house fairly quickly.

Still probably got a dozen bites. Slapped the chit outta myself smashing them fuggers.

If this is a sign of things to come this summer, it's gonna be a tough one. Winter was fairly mild, dunno if that has any bearing on the mosquito population but it seems to be correlated.

Mosquitoes are somewhat common here so when I’mma outside, I burn one of those citronella punks to ward them away.

Good morning everyone. I just finished the spring yard work yesterday, also I planted 6 new trees over the last 3 weeks. My next project is stripping a deck with a power washer, restraining it, and sealing it.
